In the prequel, Four Sisters Before the Wedding, they showed why Gabbie would be a "matandang dalaga" (because of her first love), they also showed the Alex-Chad-Bobbie love triangle, they also gave Teddie a love line. At first, I thought Teddie's love line wasn't necessary but then it showed Teddie's tendency to lie just to protect herself and to preserve her family's / parents' good perception of her. In Four Sisters and a Wedding, we saw how she lied to her family about her job and situation in Spain for that same reason. Teddie is a character that bears so much pressure so when the pressure gets too much, it can really lead to doing unacceptable things like that.
I wish they explored Gabbie’s character more. I was actually expecting for her character to have more impact on this prequel as she was (and Shaina’s acting prowess) obviously under-utilized on the first movie. This prequel basically had the same formula for each sisters they showed from the first one - being Teddy as the panganay, comic relief, and her dilemma of trying to prove herself as the best “sister”, Bobby being the brainy and level-headed second-child, and Alex as the “adventurous” and outspoken one. It also didn’t show any other bonding scenes from the sisters aside from Bobby and Alex (which has already been showed and established from the first movie). I was kinda expecting to see more scenes of each of the sisters bonding, i.e., Gabby x Alex, Bobby x Gabby, Teddy x Bobby, Teddy x Gabby, Alex x Teddy. The only scenes I saw some of them interacting genuinely was the fight after they saw Bobby with Chad, Teddy’s line: “Alex, kakampi mo ako rito.” and maybe the scene where they were confessing each of their crushes. I really wished they’ve given more depth to Gabby’s character and not just a mere side character specially when it’s an intense scene amoung the four sisters.

I think that's already a big one. I'm not saying that she's shallow, it's just that her character is kind, understanding, loving, a peace lover, *insert other good qualities here*. They even established that even though it hurt her so much, she just wholeheartedly let go of the only man she loved besides her father and brother. So yeah, it's hard to find a conflict for Gabbie since her character is already well established. Instead of finding a conflict though, they could create a conflict for her somewhere in the Four Sisters universe. Because Gabbie's greatest love is her family, the conflict could come some time years after the wedding where their mom would die, she'd be left alone, the family would crumble and her good heart would not be able to take everything. Far-fetched, 'no? Too dark for the Four Sisters universe, 'no? That's exactly how hard it is to explicitly add more depth to Gabbie's character as it could be off rather than become an additional spice to her character. I like Gabbie's character as it is, it balances everyone else's, she's got honesty to Teddie's dishonesty (though she kept her secret in FSAAW), she's the calm and civil one to Alex's adventurous and straightforward character, she's the one who doesn't keep her anger and pain for long as opposed to Bobbie's character. It might not have been very obvious but the three elder sisters + CJ trust Gabby almost as much as they trust their mom, as can be seen in FSAAW's opening scene where she calls each of them. They might not even genuinely talk at all in FSAAW without Gabbie. In Gabbie, we see depth and value that are not explicitly written on the script.

I think for this prequel, it will focus more on the character arcs of teddy and (especially) gabbie. yung first movie kasi obvious naman na bobby and alex had the biggest moments.
