My favorite band ever was classic Venom lineup. 1981-1986. I'm aware the lineup returned for Cast In Stone, but it wasn't the same.

Holi s#it! Look at that pyro! Man, the first thing I thought of is that Great White show that that s#it caught the joint on fire. I would’ve never thought of ANY of that back in the day. Wasn’t until, unfortunately, that show-🔥roasted all them people

Speaking of the Great White disaster , I saw Venom before the first album at my local working men's club in my home town of Hebburn SouthTyneside in the U.K ( Abaddons home town ) . First track in and the pyro's went off and blew the ceiling tiles out and started a fire , the committee men came racing into the hall and immediately stopped the show . LOL happy memories .

It's cool when people in bands your into turn out to be nice, Voi Vod were nice to me when I met them, Nicko McBrain was and Rob Miller (amebix/tau cross) were nice to me when I met them or spoke to them. it makes it even more worthwhile.

first song, cronos and mantas out of tune to each other and individually second song Mantas is playing correct but somewhat out of tune still it seems but bass is horribly out of key (out of tune), and drums are okay but disjointed .

The first DEATH METAL band. Chuck Schuldener of Death said in an interview that Venom were the first Death Metal band. I take the word of someone who was a professional musician over some Nu Metal looking short haired hipster. Venom invented Death Metal. Motorhead invented Thrash Metal. Blue Cheer invented Hard Rock. Judas Priest invented Metal. Bathory invented Black Metal. Black Sabbath and Metallica are just overrated pop bands

i hate these arguments because no one wins . its stupid, But this is way more accurate: Black Sabbath invented Metal ,per say, with the First album -first song on it. nothing like it before that... Judas Preist modernized it more and invented the Metal Look, Venom started Death, Black And Thrash Metal , basically all Exteme underground Metal from then on....Bathory invented then what would become Norwegian Black metal Stuff, Blue Cheer were great but really didnt invent nothing, (there were other bands like them then) Metallica's early stuff is great. Try playing "Disposable Hero's" that's complex, constantly changing riffage and tempos. i wouldn't call that overrated !
