Hi Paul. Loving the channel, keep up the great work entertaining and informing us. I need your advice. I have some smart home equipment including half a dozen tuya compatible smart plugs, a Bseed no neutral lsmart wifi ight switch, some WiFi rgb led strips, and a broadlink rm 4. So intergrating this into HA with a local LLM voice assistant means i can finally have complete control over my Smart Home without a cloud based service? Thats awesome.
So if I want to use this to get Tuya Zigbee devices into HomeKit, can I temporarily connect it to the Smart Life app to add those devices and then go into HomeKit and remove that connection, and the Zigbee devices will remain paired?
You need the cloud to add new things, it works without the cloud with them once they're added though. The only thing I'm not sure about is how long they would work without the cloud, i.e. if the company went bust.
Thanks for review Paul. One question - I presently have several Tuya Zigbee devices already setup on a Tuya Zigbee hub inthe Smart Life app. Would I need to re-setup every device so that I can use them with the Zemismart M1 hub? 😅 Thanks in advance.
To my knowledge they would appear automaricay when you add the tuya integration, but personally I prefer to add Tuya ZigBee products directly to a ZigBee stick attached to my raspberry pi. They work really well that way.

Have you ever done a video comparison of different smart gateways? With Matter out for a long time now it would be cool to see which one is the best bang for your buck.
I'm waiting for the LinknLink iSG - that ought to be just what you need too. I hope this M1 (which I'm using atm) will help me get any problematic Tuya Zigbee devices to connect with the iSG (when it arrives...)
I'm paralysed in the neck down so all this home automation has been a massive boon to my life. I hate having all these different hubs, so I'm trying to reduce them to the minimum. I have a switchbot on my computer power switch, and have just got 2 switchbot door locks. Want to be able to control them with voice control/Google home. So I wondered whether I would be able to use this hub with the switch bot locks and the switchbot switch. Or do I need to buy switchbot hub? The only other things that I need on this hub are Moes Zigbee radiator valves. To add to the problem I have a bungalow so the footprint of the bungalow is quite large, in fact the 2 door locks will be 29 m apart, and the hub will be roughly in the middle of the 2. Does this hub have that range? Alternatively, if I cannot use this hub, would the switchbot be able to control my radiator valves instead of the zigbee, instead of the zigbee gateway I'm using at the moment?
Hey man, unfortunately this hub isn’t compatible with the switchbot stuff, because although Switchbot’s hub is Matter enabled the actual devices themselves aren’t. So yes, the switchbot hub is required sadly. The moes gateway looks like it uses Tuya smart life, so you could use the moes radiator valves with the hub featured in the video instead of the existing moes hub, which might save you a bit of trouble going forwards as the industry slowly moves to matter devices, but if you really want a truly open system then home assistant on a raspberry pi is the way forward and I think that’s what you ought to go for personally. You would still need the switchbot hub, but you’d have a lot more freedom as you buy more stuff 😊
Morning you very, very funny clever man, but you already knew that ! So Paul aqura motion sensor, I would like a few things to happen when I go into my room. Wi fi lighting on, switch av amp and switch lg tele on. Is there an easy way of doing this that doesn’t use HOME ASSISTANT :-)

Only if they’re matter enabled devices
@@paulhibbert Thank you Homie
My tuya devices are all wifi, is there a good hub for local control with wifi? :)
I'm waiting for the LinknLink iSG - that ought to be just what you need too. I hope this M1 (which I'm using atm) will help me get any problematic Tuya Zigbee devices to connect with the iSG (when it arrives...)

Hey! What's that humidity sensor please oh shiny headed one! No link to it tut tut.. Lots of love, Billy the shiny headed one.
Thank you very much for your information@@paulhibbert Much appreciated

The fact that Paul just publicly humilated a "fan" is hilarious! That's one way to make people stop puting hate comments down!
Govee has new pres sensor. Can you get your hands on it it please and review it.
45% of the way in before we hit the title card. Is that a new record? 😉
I know right! I decided during editing that it needed the old Luke footage and then I was like ooooohhhh, the pushes the title card way backwards 🤣
I have the M1 working with HomeKit however it keeps removing sub-devices. Any advice anyone?
In theory, is this that the Aqara M3 hub should be capable of ?
Thank you young sir, everyone loves an exploding head! Well I do anyway. Apparently I'm a gen X and should get the pop references. 😄👍

It would have been funnier if the one exploding would have been the hangry critic's
“One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them”?
Not quite yet it seems…
Shane, I’d quite like to dump some of the multiple hubs I have.
It's pronounced 'router' not 'router' otherwise great video, really liked Luke, invite him back more often!
Can you please make a video comparing :
Zemismart Matter Thread Hub Smart Control Tuya Zigbee
Zemismart Zigbee Hub Smart Homekit Bridge Wired Gateway
Works bluetooth?
But does it work with ikea?
