We always enjoy your videos. You have a lot more going on your farm than I thought. That hog you have in with the turkeys is HUGE. Keep doing what you're doing.
The pig jumping around when the grader drove by the first time was funny. Liked the nod to Diesel Creek when you honked the horn as you drove over the camera.
This reminds me of working around the homestead growing up. We had access to a Cat 225 and 416 from my granddad for stuff like that (clearing trees, burying junk, knocking down buildings) around the property. Never knew how good I had it until I didn’t have those around anymore.
You still have those memories to enjoy. It's like listening to a favorite piece of music that you can play any time you choose. You may some photographs to enjoy over and over again.
@@nemo227 Without a doubt. That I got a chance to use 40-50,000 pound excavators and 20,000 pound bulldozers before I could legally drive is something that impressed on me more than a lot of things. To this day I can watch a good operator like some can watch a conductor lead a symphony. It’s probably why I subscribed here in the first place. Lots of good memories coming back.
Chris, with those geese and the big old pig your going to have another pond shortly. How about a quick look at your neighbors lost pond you did a year or so ago. Hope you enjoy your vacation in Florida.
Seems that a simple French Drain could be the solver of the problem with your water overflowing that little pond. The drains are used around houses to keep the water from damaging structures, well in this case the road is your structure. It could help divert that overflowing water to another area that needs it more, rather than your road. Awe gee, it takes the mind of a plumber to think of a solution to a problem that has multiple applications.
That's a never ending battle, working on the farm. There is always things to be done !! Man, that camera on the front of the bucket was a trip !! lolol...Every time you got a scoop !! lolol... Damn that's a Big Ol' Hog up front in that pin... caught it on the drive by , when you was grading... Love it Chris !! You have a Beautiful place there... Well, Have a Great Evening Man !!, Great as always, and , On too the Next !!
Well Chris. I believe that this is the second time you've let us watch you touching up your driveway and path and it's just as entertaining as the first time. It's fascinating how good you handle your equipment on jobs. Purely top notch professional.
You said it right! Nice having that equipment around. You have the perfect setup. Your work gives you the ability to have a farm and the equipment allows you to keep it maintained very nicely, better than a full time farmer. Are those pigs and turkeys yours or is that the property line? You should hop in the UTV and give a tour of the full spread and then maybe a drone view to sum it up? :o)
Yes it was good to see the 220 at work on the farm - a farm and machinery so well cared for. That's one way of checking the undercarriages. Extra pasture always good. Have fun.
All I know is you have to be the master planner, scheduler, expediter, organizer, video editor, maintenance man and worker there is. It's amazing how you are able to run your own business, be a part of your uncle's business and take care of a farm, family and home. I salute you and your stamina! You sir, are an amazing individual.
You have a beautiful homestead! You maintain ur equipment and keep ur farm groomed so well! Luv seeing pics of farm and Winston. May God continue to bless u!!! Stay safe! Wonderful video, thank u so much!!!
Chris as someone who has done a lot of road work if you will take notice in your video that you still have some high Ridges at the edges of your driveway if you can completely knock those away that will let the water flow much easier especially to your lower side great video you do great work wish you were up here around Indiana thanks for sharing what you did to the edges of your driveway is called clipping the burn that insures water to run off as I said I work for the Indiana Department of Transportation for 16 years not trying to tell you how to do it just maybe something else that will help
I learned how to run a backhoe on a 410 c john deere. It was a damn good old machine. I say old . It was actually only a couple years old but we bought it from a rental lot amd they must have used it with a concrete hammer or something because everytime we turned around we were replacing pins in the backhoe part. Never had any issues with the loader but the backhoe all new bushings and pins within the first year we owned. It. Then they bought a 710 c 4x4 enclosed cab with ac and heat. Amd that machine was a beast. It was heavy so it didnt take much to stick if it was soft dirt or mud but it would move amd dig some dirt
A bit frustrating when all that preventative maintenance puts paid to a cold start piece 🤣 All that was needed was a bit of power aid in the radiator. Nice video Chris
I wish my town had your grader for back alleys. They insist on using a big monster JD that barely fits with the blade at a 45° angle. Yours would be just right. I’ve been suggesting they pick up a used one, and it should last them a while if that’s it’s main job, along with some snow removal.
I’ve had a lot of battery issues with my Hero 8 black, I have now invested in 2 external battery packs which plug directly into the port on the cameras, the pack is small enough fit in a side pocket an the cable is easy to conceal… no more unexpected power issues… however, I mucked up a whole days filming on Friday… time lapse is great, but not when you need standard… 3 huge trout in the ice box and no film for my channel!!! I feel rather foolish. Great vids Chris… keep em coming Sir.
It’s not like you have enough on your plate, but with the farm and homestead you have got to stay ahead of the upkeep on it ,so there is no problem that would need immediate repairs.you keep the homestead as nice as your equipment and you job sites.because you care, that’s your investment in future.keep up what your doing.👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
Good to see you get a chance to sort out your own place from time to time, it always looks pretty tidy anyway, but then you still go and find ways to make it even better. 🙂Thanks for sharing that.😀 Be well Chris.😊
The Master Craftsman knows the correct tool for the job and how to use it (Go-pro is not part of my comment - only your heavy equipment and expertise) . Excellent job as always and fun to watch!
Thank you for video. I noticed that you have a all time high production C Ford fire engine. I have a 71 SeaGrave Engine. Just moved some dirt from side of my home to make room for a temporary storage of a 1500 gallon Tender that is used for wildland Firefighting. Next to my SeaGrave. My 78 Dynahoe did the dirt work for land clearing storage area. I will do a video to show what I did when I have them parked. Took from my Garden area. But it was short work with Dynahoe. She always come through with dirt moving.
The county roadgrader could sure take some lessons from you. Of course I'm real lucky if I get a "top dressing" about once every 5 years. I don't ever expect to see blacktop on the 1.25 miles of backroad that I live on but it would be nice if they would maintain the gravel enough to keep us out of the mud. Mud, Mud, Mud ! ! !
It's great when they start like that.when the rain comes we'll see if the driveway works.rain can change all.lol. my mini can't compare w the 220 but i sure get alot of work done with it.
Funny that goose chasing after the grader, he was probably honking away! haha ha! Road looks nice, so many little projects, it's a wonder you have time on the backside for editing what you record, my entertainment is dependent on your working hard, so thanks! 👍
i find it humorous that every time he passes the fowl pen (with the one huge hog) the turkey chases the grader down the fence line. they have no fear, no fear at all.
Always good to keep the home tidy and looking good, just wish i had all the right gear to do that, my shovel and rake does not work as good as a grader lol, thank you for sharing
It died, oh well it’s nice to see you relaxing and getting some of your work done on your farm! 99% of the time you’re working on someone else’s job, time to get your stuff done brother! 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸 Thanks again for sharing!
Nice to get home projects cleared off the plate. I just started one. Mommy said she needed/wants a new kitchen. Oh well, all could say was yes ma’am. 🤣😂🤣😂
Good plan, to dig deep into the crusted top/packed down layers so the loose stones can be mixed well together. Then spread out as you have done, and packed to form a good road bed again.
Nice little Diesel Creek move of driving over the camera,,,now Matt has to get Galion "Christine" grader running and do the same. How is Ol` Betty doing? did she have a clutch/brake lever separate on the left steering side? You put a little scare in the piggy when you went by. You have done alot of improvements on the property in a few short years.
It must be nice to have your own grader especially with the long road you have going to your barn, I always like watching you operate it too Chris! Not a piece of equipment that you can’t run brother and with amazing skill too! Good gosh, now that’s a hog brother, he’s huge or is it a sow? lol whatever, that’s a hell of a lot of pork on the hoof brother! lol 😂 we haven’t toured your farm in a while, hopefully maybe you’ll take us on a tour one day Chris, cows, geese, turkeys and the piggies! Lol oh and see Winston and Franklin! It would be nice and I bet the cows are starting to multiply! Just an idea brother! I enjoy all your videos either way Chris! Thanks for sharing my friend! 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
I really could have used that grader today. I was visiting someone who was a 1/4 mile down a previously gravel road, it was filled with ruts and potholes. It was in some dire need of some work.
like you say chris it makes life easeyer and spreads the ground out well a bit of rain will flatten it level and then when dry and growth as covered it you would never know it was dug or disturbed another good job done friend...with the cobalter great machine and well operated by you...
Thanks for another nice video Chris. That made me laugh in the first minute when you said "that's perfect, just like me!" . Well as an equipment operator, you are perfect and the best I've ever seen. I really respect how clean and well maintained all your stuff is.
Chris I saw where you used bags for changing oil filters and such, have you ever thought of a two liter soda bottle cut off at the top? cut it so it just clears the bottom of the filter you are replacing catching the oil. then with any luck the bottle will still have room to lower the filter in. Just a thought from an old Cat and Cummins and Detroit mech
Hey Chris from Asheville! Love the tribute to Diesel Creek!
That's exactly what I came here to say 😁
Beep beep
Thought that the moment i saw it.
First time he did it I was like okay that’s coincidence - but then the second time with “beep beep”… it sure is a shoutout to Diesel Creek
We always enjoy your videos. You have a lot more going on your farm than I thought. That hog you have in with the turkeys is HUGE. Keep doing what you're doing.
There is something oddly satisfying about watching the rock roll along the moldboard.
The pig jumping around when the grader drove by the first time was funny. Liked the nod to Diesel Creek when you honked the horn as you drove over the camera.
Somebody's been watching Diesel Creek with those fancy camera angles LOL As always Chris, looks great!!
And an old grader !
Was looking for this this comment :)
That was some PRECISION gravel drop from the backhoe bucket, Chris! WOW! 👍👏
You got a nice place, Chris. Hard work and pride in what you do pays off. I enjoy your videos. Thanks.
You spread that gravel as well with the backhoe as you do with the grater. You are an artist with that equipment.
I wish I had those kinds of "little projects" and a 220 in my barn too. 😂 Always enjoy the chance to ride along.
The horn driving over the camera shot was cute. I appreciated the time it took to set that up.
The big old pig wasn't happy about all the noise, great work as always.
As with everything in life, it helps to have the right tools for the job. Another fine demonstration of estate management from Chris. 🇬🇧🇬🇧

You have truly transformed that piece of land in to something special. Very nice.
I do really enjoy your Chanel and how you take pride in your property.
I like seeing how you maintain around the property.
Once again, excellent vid Chris, love the homage to diesel creek 👍😂

Man the grader blade shot is my favorite thing to watch !
“Perfect, just like me”. Bahahahaha! 🤟🏻 What’s more relaxing: The sound of rainfall or gravel on a grader’s blade-💤💤😃
That's a never ending battle, working on the farm. There is always things to be done !! Man, that camera on the front of the bucket was a trip !! lolol...Every time you got a scoop !! lolol... Those were some fun camera angles!
Loved the turkeys and pig.
“ bucket cam” was awesome, almost as good as “mouldboard cam”, great video!

That was wonderful. No drama and fun to watch.
That HOG is huge.

He has time! No wife! - lol

Men and their toys! Love all you do. Can't wait for the next episode 😊...
I can’t imagine 🤔 ALL of the Maintenance required on ALL of various pieces of equipment you own. 👍

Boy, that 220 is a nice machine. You look after it too which is very impressive.

I use a rock rake on the tractor to roll the sides in and a scraper blade or box grader to spread rock. I guess if I had a grader, I’d use it too.
I saw that Diesel Creek thing you did there 😊
A bit frustrating when all that preventative maintenance puts paid to a cold start piece 🤣 All that was needed was a bit of power aid in the radiator. Nice video Chris

hahaha - liked those turkey's chasing in line when you first passed their home.
Farm work and maintenance are always there. Enjoyed the grader views.

I remember when you last worked on that driveway a couple years back, looks like it held up very well considering all the rain since then.

"It sure is nice to have a 220 around the house". It would sure make hanging Christmas lights easier on my 1/4 acre lot. 😎
i find it humorous that every time he passes the fowl pen (with the one huge hog) the turkey chases the grader down the fence line. they have no fear, no fear at all.
With all the time you spend working bro the farm still looks really good. Safe travels
Always nice too have the right gear for the job. 💪🏻💪🏻👍🏻👍🏻 greetings from Denmark
fine little grader you picked up.....Rock Solid!!!
Looking mighty awesome Chris.
The Turkeys seem to like the grader… following it along inside their pen as it passes… where as the pig goes running away behind it’s hut… 😋
Thanks for the vid. Nice grade job and your farm looks good also young man.
Great camera work! Thanks for making coffee time so interesting.
The under the grader camera filming was freaking awesome 👌 👏 👍
Nice when you have all that equipment to work around home
Perfect, perfect, perfect. 😊
Those Diesel Creek Drive by's are priceless lol.
Always good to keep the home tidy and looking good, just wish i had all the right gear to do that, my shovel and rake does not work as good as a grader lol, thank you for sharing
a little DieselCreek touch there with the backhoe driving over the camera while blowing the horn I see.....LOL

Very cool Camera placement Chris !! ... love this one, thanks Bro !👍👍😎😎
Nice to get home projects cleared off the plate. I just started one. Mommy said she needed/wants a new kitchen. Oh well, all could say was yes ma’am. 🤣😂🤣😂
The under shots of the grader got a good shot of the big piggie running around with the ducks/geese 😳 He’s a big one!!👍🇺🇸
Good plan, to dig deep into the crusted top/packed down layers so the loose stones can be mixed well together. Then spread out as you have done, and packed to form a good road bed again.
Always something to do.
Driveway looks nice Chris having the equipment on the farm sure does help keeping your property looking nice 😎👍
You have a NICE place & it's nice to be along for the ride there too

Great job Chris. Did I say that I loved watching the grader? Well I do…..a lot🤪😊🤣 Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰
Love how you said perfect just like me great job buddy and great video as always buddy 😎👊🏻👍🏻
8:57 Put in a French drain along the drive, connected with a pipe to a low area. No hole and no puddles.
Never ending joy of dirt roads. We get washboard here too! Darn HOA maintains the "roads"
Kinda neat watching from the bucket’s eye view!
Great video, nice camera shots. Love watching a professional doing a great job.
As always Chris,,,,,, really nice video and interesting thanks
Nice diesel creek bit wen u drove the grader over the camera u missed the horn lol
The more you dislike the people behind you, the deeper the woods need to be. Good rule of thumb. 👍
like you say chris it makes life easeyer and spreads the ground out well a bit of rain will flatten it level and then when dry and growth as covered it you would never know it was dug or disturbed another good job done friend...with the cobalter great machine and well operated by you...
Hey that's a neat little trick for burying body parts, thanks, LOL.
Probably the hardest working man on TH-cam!!🚚🚜
Makes life easier when you have the right stuff and I was wondering if I saw a pig and by the way the tracks on the 220 look great
Thanks for another nice video Chris. That made me laugh in the first minute when you said "that's perfect, just like me!" . Well as an equipment operator, you are perfect and the best I've ever seen. I really respect how clean and well maintained all your stuff is.
Apparently you are forbidden from burying concrete in front of a Go Pro 😀

Looks great Chris 🇺🇲
I have been watching chris so long I feel like I have seen this chore done before.
loved the homage to diesel creek you did there , Thank you for another great video !
Nice camera work Chris under the grader and the bucket of the backhoe almost thought I was a piece of stone 👍
Sure helps when you know what to do. As usual great video.
Keep the trees Chris and plant more of them.
