I'm just impressed with the mindset of these warriors. While we train for the exercise, some muay thai young warriors train with the hope of winning matches to earn enough funds for feeding their families. it's such a contrast to our living standards that I can't even begin to fathom what it's like to fight for basic necessities. no matter how hard I train, I bet it won't be as hard as them
This guy is solid as fuck. Does 21 explosive pullups, doesn't break a sweat, isn't out of breath and makes that just look like he just warmed up. Insane strength...
buakaw is the real deal. a world class muay thay specialist, he is training to make his mma debut now. once he gets to the core of takedown defense and grappling, he will be a force to be reckoned with.
You have to keep in mind what he's training for. Quick explosive movements are best for a fighter. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that can lift more weight or do more pullups with better form, but there aren't too many that can hang with him in a fight.
Just when I was starting to feel good about my pullups... People can talk about "proper form" all they want, but I do pullups everyday and can do them with proper form just fine, but what he's doing is clearly harder anyway.
There may actually be less pull on his ligaments doing this than if he was doing it from a straight dead hang without explosiveness. He's using his legs to get that extra pop, and his body never goes completely dead hang which is where your ligaments get extra tension.
you don't need the best equipment or have the best gear to train hard. it's about tenacity and perseverance, self-discipline and control destabilizing your standard is tiring and painful, but imagine how much stronger you would be when you overcome it
yeah yeah people say they can do that easily even with the standard all-the-way up and down form they use, but you have to recognize that he's a MT fighter and training full body explosive power is the absolute priority, and if you haven't done muay thai training in life you won't know how exhausting it could be, if you have caught up with his intensity in a monthly to yearly basis you will know even 5 pull ups like that during the day can cost your energy dearly
Noticed that he keeps it simple even the gym where he trains, I guess fame didn't do what it does to other champs, humbleness is a gift if u don't have it you can't buy it
i just lost the strength when i could not rehabilitate from my broken wrist, at the and it did so much sore i lost the motivation to keep going when i tought this pain keeps u for 3 months, and i am having the focus on physical work so its not easy being older and try to get it up again.
Haha that was so funny and awesome, Buakaw is the best and it did sound it he said Lady to fight but he meant ready to fight haha so cool, he motivates me because I do martial arts too, mma and shotokan karate on my channel.
Part of the requirement for being taken into the US marines is 20 pull/chin ups for as long as they want, he is well within with his physique and I guess he is even way into his training day. I aspire to do 20 chins as a minimum, the record is 117 but with varying between pull/chinup.
0:32 Imagine this guy waiting for you outside your house with that kind of posture and look. Are you prepared to go to school? Or to work? Or to go shopping?
