I feel it is still worth while to upgrade the grey mods (excluding certain primaries) at least to level 3 to see if it's a speed secondary. If it isn't, I've only spent 13k credits, and sell it for 9.5k. It isn't that much of an investment to see if it has speed. I'll generally only use them on PVE characters.
This is exactly how I farm mods, but I learned it the hard way :(. LOTS of wasted credits when I first unlocked mods lol. You got lucky on some of those upgrades, normally my speed secondaries never upgrade :(. One thing I would add tho, I ususally upgrade any 4*/5* triangle with a CD primary (like you do with the speed arrows). That would have been worth mentioning in my opinion. The potency crosses are kinda a toss up, but I usually have way more of those than CD triangle or speed arrows.
I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but the "Arrow" mod in the upper right, if you don't get a primary speed stat, critical avoidance is useful there IFFFFFFFF speed is included in the secondary stats. It's the only slot where you can have a primary critical avoidance. You can use critical avoidance on toons that are already relatively fast, or say an empire character with a maxed zeta Tarkin lead as he'll provide plus 30 speed to all empire characters, so in essence, all of your empire characters will already have plus 30 speed regardless of whether they have 30 speed Arrow mods attached. Hope that made sense because i think I confused myself...
Hi MobileGamer, I believe the maximum speed secondary that a mod could go is 29, not 30. As the highest starting value of a speed secondary is 5. So, 5+6+6+6+6 is the theoretical maximum.
You don't have to scroll through all your mods if you want to sell white and bad mods, you can just filter them out with the buttons over the mods (tiers).
They keep mentioning Malachor for the new events/raid. With the final eps of Rebels starting Monday I had a thought the two may be intertwined. Perhaps Ahsoka returns after unlocking the temple on Malachor and dealing with Sion and Traya. Something similar to Yoda and Darth Bane in Clone Wars.
Great video. You have some amazing luck. I pull 15 MODS and am luck to hit 1 or 2 that are higher then E. Then trying to upgrade when you do have a speed secondary, it rarely hits the speed line. Out of a 100 MODS with speed secondary my highest is 13. RNG on MODS doesn't like me 8^(.

I got my leia character moded up to 200 speed. I'm not certain but, i think it's a pretty good speed. Pair with an ackbar lead and she bumps up to 225. She still has plenty of room to improve in other areas like getting gear levels up beyond 8.
I mod my characters like you do for the most part mobile gamer, but the one thing I do differently is that I do like my tenacity crosses and defense set. I have defense set on Zavage and I use a tenacity cross with protection and health on the rest of the mods, with a crit damage triangle though.
Tenacity is good for characters like zavage because it helps him keep debuffs on himself to a minimum. Other characters yeah it's not as important but it also helps in the rancor raid

holding on to the "Clear" mods makes sense to boost your fleet up for characters you don't use, like super trooper or Gar saxon or any of the geonosians.
That's what I do with the mods I'm going to keep but haven't upgraded yet. The "clear" mods ARE garbage, Mobile is right. Sell them, then store the good (but untouched) ones on your bottom level toons
It doesn't make sense, actually, because you are wasting tons of credits to upgrade them. If they are already upgraded from poor decisions in the past then no problem
part of the problem becomes that some people's ships are way better then their characters, but still need to be modded and geared and upgraded as much as a character you'd wanna use in the game. I find best way to boost em is to simply use the garbage 5 dot mods and boost em so you don't waste any good mods on em .
at some point, the higher secondary stats that this (golden ones) kind of mod can get when compared to the secondary stats that a blank mod can give, even if it can get to like 5 or 10 speed, might be more valuable to you... depends on which character you want to put it, and if you already have insane mods with +20 speed secondaries, if you don't, of course it will be better than everything else you have :)... let's put it this way, numbers are off but it is just an example : Would you rather have a shitty Mk V-E mod that evolved with speed and looks like this : +0.5% defense +500 protection +500 health +3 speed Or would you rather have this Mk V-A that got no speed but looks like this at lvl 15 on your Baze? +1% defense +1000 protection +1000 health +2% health In a perfect world you want only Mk V-A mods with speed secondaries that evolve into 20+, because they can get the highest speed secondaries AND because all the other stats, if relevant, will be higher than with lower Mk mod...
I only unlocked the tier 3 for speed mods a few weeks ago and MAN, I get so many Arrows with Health as a primary stat it is crazy. I've even gotten Gold speed set arrows with health primary stat (and zero speed secondary of course). It is just plain painful.
On the CrouchingRancor site when it says "Set1" and "Set2", what exactly are they? Or how does it work? Is it Left side, Right side, or something else?

I have a question for you, why would the devs have that circle mod at 32 percent protection (as primary), but only have the health at 5 something percent? Shouldn’t they both be the same?
Health can be recovered quite easily by many healers but protection is really hard to get back when it is lost. Also health steal and bonus health affect that as well
With Territory Wars and how your whole deck of characters is important, keep it and put it on a less used toon once you have a better one for your main teams that use it. Rarity is correct in that. Other mods that are 3 dot will be lesser than 4 or 5 dot mods. Its a resource game, once you have something "better" you replace the lower one and move on. But for TW and even TB, it'll be useful for your teams or for plain GP.
I farmed for secondary speed stats for weeks and never got any of the 14-20+ ones.. I got maybe 2 30 arrows.. devs... up the chance for these to drop .. ffs Now I'm farming to get sith assassin to 7*

All that means is if you have already created an swgoh.gg account it'll be wiped away and you'll only have the newest one you created. If you haven't created an account and linked it to your game account then there's no need to worry. The "reset" they are referring to is on their website, not the game itself
Very useful but speed mods are absolutely broken in this game. They do not drop often enough and not enough times do you get the chance to bring mods anywhere near 20. QoL should be focusing on this because no one really cares about anything else right now.
i actually farm mods every day. speed only.. and every day I get shit. its just the most disappointing/discouraging part of the game. in a week - a WEEK I MIGHT get a good mod.
I cannot understand, maybe I'm just slow..lol, y anyone would fill up 4 of 6 slots, for a 10% speed bonus. UNLESS THEY ALL HAD SPEED SECONDARIES! 10% for 4 slots is garbage!!! If my toon has, say 150 speed, im giving up 4 slots for +15 speed. Plus, maybe 10-20 in secondaries. Total=185. That's really decent, but seeing people lately say that a minimum of 170, 180 speed is bottom line. And seeing toons at well over 200 speed...idk. 4 slots of speed mods for 10%? For 4 slots, it should be 20%. And when maxed, lvl 15, 25%. Imo.

Yeah actually if I get a clear triangle with crit damage, I will upgrade that one. Good catch.

soo.. are non-speed-secondary golden mods the worst thing ever? They can't even get a speed secondary (unlike blank mods that COULD roll speed once)

Every character needs that mod. You need many, many of those, maybe like 100 of them.
Put it on your main characters first, then move to your secondary.

You would never use speed set unless they also had high secondary speed bonus of at least +10
