7:50 "We will never fall, especially not to the English" Why does Aquitaine care about a 2 province minor in Eastern Europe? It's like France swearing eternal vengeance against Pskov.
MrSplodgeySplodge The joke was in this random world, England was a 2 province minor nation, so they purposefully misunderstood what the announcers meant.
I hate hugbixes too, but I find it funny how people call an alliance during the first 5 years of the game a "hugbox". Yes it might very well develop into one, but atm this term is simply not applicable
Here is how the religious modifier for AE works, described in Johan's case: Norse attacking catholic +50% AE with all Catholic nations. Norse attacking catholic -50% AE with Other religions. And there is no extra modifier if a norse attacks a norse. Needless to say, anyone who has picked a religion that is different than what the majority is around them will have a hard time expanding. Unless they are in a religious diverse area.
LordMonbodo you know starnan will do the Same thing to imse what he did to katz previous series. (Occupying his victory cards from him for free by threatening or bribing in late game.)
Not necessarily, Imse stayed attached to the player slayer himself all through the last dev multiplayer and he never killed her or betrayed her. I feel like Starnan will do the same thing. She could end up losing or she could end up winning but it will be together with Starnan. The one thing that's different this time, though, is that she is #1 this time and, thus, is everybody's target. And not only is she #1 she's an early #1 which is even worse. So possibly this time she'd have to actually fight on her own and lead her hugbox instead of just following player slayer.
He's been "robbed" of victories on a few occasions. A few sessions ago, he had an alliance with Italy (himself) and France. When came time for peace, his ally neglected to give him his victory cards - supposedly an accident - and potentially cost him a top 3 position. He also has a talent for drawing pity on himself when the universe conspires against him. As far as I know, that's when it started.
Also last game, he didn't get 3rd place by 12 points, only because their opponents artillery barraged + assaulted his lvl 8 fort on his victory card in the last month of the game.
I wish there was an option to enable the ability to see army numbers on the war screen in multiplayer games. Its tiresome to look up every country in the war in the ledger. This would be awesome for coop games on hard and very hard difficulty. Would also be nice if the war screen also contained the combined or individual Manpower reserves of both sides, so when you kill waves of troops, you can actually see if you are progressing in depleating the AIs manpower or if their reserves are unlimited and you should try to peace out. Individual dept would be cool to see also to see if killing millions of mercenaries actually impact their economy. Wars are in the end fought with all kinds of resources, not just infantry, cavalry and canons they have at one point in time, and to check the ledger is such a pain.
The dilution of the concept of hug-box is terrible. The problem is not an alliance, it's not a large alliance, it's not a long-term large alliance. It's a long-term large alliance that is against the interests of at least one of the members.
don't play dumb, you know I mean that not many people would share your opinion hugboxes aren't a problem. The term hugbox has a rather distinct negative connotation attached to it by definition
IrmscherMMDCCC When you create a custom nation, you can chose custom national ideas that give you various bonuses, but they need to be balanced between administrative, diplomatic and military. Female advisors is a cheap way to balance your ideas, so you can optimize your custom nation
+IrmscherMMDCCC Everyone in this session made a custom Nation. When you make a custom Nation everything is based off a 'points' system to stop people picking really powerful ideas and taking colossal amounts of land - female advisors chance has no effect on gameplay henceforth it is considered a poor idea but is free in terms of points. It's considered poor show because it's effectively a dead idea and it's very min-maxy. Considering it's the difference between taking a 1/1/1 province at the start or not - they may as well take a better idea instead if only for the sake of style.
What's the rationale behind choosing Female Advisor Cost? I understand it's a way of circumventing increased custom nation costs due to Military or Diplomatic taking up more than 50% of national ideas, but in some of these cases it's not selected the last idea or there's a good mix of idea categories. What am I missing?
Nicholas Weston nothing, but you got to remember, they are probably girls playing. I agree having that is a waste if points but whatever. They will just fall quicker since they wasted points lol.

Britannia seems very strong.
15% fire damage, 15% less fire damage receieved, 5% discipline omg
Chris Leong It's all those mechas.

I don't like hug boxes or starnans tactics but then again, every good story needs a villain
#StarNaNdidNothingWrong

yeah that's completely true but he does have a history of it :P plus going for the march system really really looks like that's the plan
agreed. I simply happened to reply to you, but I saw a lot of comments about it even in the first episode :D
Well remember the last Clash and the Hugbox of India+Dai Viet formed quite fast to give Starnan the trophy ? Yea, it has a historical evidence :D
GLORY TO BRITANNIA, SALT FOR THE SALT THRONE
That Millhaven Alfons Åberg reference though
Zeke's idea descriptions are the absolute best. Others made me smile or were whatever but I actually laughed out loud at his part.
I see a Star Wars reference there, that Sith Code.
I never realized there were so many sayings using the word 'barrel'
I S T H A T A C O D E G E A S S R E F E R E N C E ?
You're damn right it is.
For the Salt ! :P
43:30 Neudachnikov (translated from russian as unlucky in a funny style) family. LOL.
38:12 Jake = Snotlout from How to train your dragon?
Did anyone else notice the coopers like coopering so much they'll only make new little barrels with other coopers?
how the hell did johan get that much AE?
they showed it with the religious mapmode. he is norse and surrounded by catholics, thats why everyone gets more pissed...
Here is how the religious modifier for AE works, described in Johan's case:
Norse attacking catholic +50% AE with all Catholic nations.
Norse attacking catholic -50% AE with Other religions.
And there is no extra modifier if a norse attacks a norse.

He took like 50 dev worth of land not in his religious group. What i am surprised about is that Aquitaine honored the call for that coalition war.
religion
Alluvium coalitions are automatic, there is no choice in honoring alliances.
Imse really has a shot at a trophy this time, assuming her deal with Starnan holds.
LordMonbodo you know starnan will do the Same thing to imse what he did to katz previous series. (Occupying his victory cards from him for free by threatening or bribing in late game.)
Quite possibly. I'm also worried that he's going to demand liberation once he's become far more powerful than anyone else.
Not necessarily, Imse stayed attached to the player slayer himself all through the last dev multiplayer and he never killed her or betrayed her. I feel like Starnan will do the same thing. She could end up losing or she could end up winning but it will be together with Starnan. Starnan... gaming the system for all its got.And Da9L's goal to return to the homeland (Brunei) in his description.. priceless!
ALL HAIL BRITANNIA
Neva-Luki's dynasty roughly translates as losers.
Am I the only one here seeing Patriarch map mode and getting all excited for more Eastern European flavour?
Same, orthodoxy deserves more than a slider.
43:40 patriarch mapmode?
MORE !
18:00 It´s the Sith codex :D
Johan start is best start.
Loved that coalition :)
Love this!
@ Jake ...how could you not get the reference of the first Daniel Idea with the KotoR quote turned into salt ??!?
It's the Sith Code altered to be about salt, and Jake was making a joke. Daniel has used that one in Dev Clashes before.
Millhaven is doing amazing... and her ally is a marched starNaN?
HOW DID THEY DO THIS
Praise Kek! Kek has sent a dynasty of prophets to the dev clash to spread kekism. 30:44
anyone know when the fire damage and good produced for custom nations is coming
43:40 Dynasty of Neudachnikov, LOL. Neudachnik in Russian means not lucky man, or loser)))
My god, Aquitainian ideas names made me so laugh since I speak french xD
can somebody please explain Da9L's obsession with salt?

that is absolutely not what a hugbox is
Then hugboxes aren't a problem.
that's your opinion, one over which you're most likely outvoted
It's my opinion, true. Nobody's voting on anything however.

anyone tell me whats up with the female advisors? Why is this a meme?

+Norse Modder
Did not realize it had 10 levels, that is nuts considering it's free. They may want to look into tweaking that a little.
Its a cheap way to balance your ideas... You know like how its cheaper to higher women....... Cough Cough...
Has all random nations/provinces always been a thing, or is it implied this could be a new feature for the next DLC/patch?
It's a feature of the El Dorado DLC.
but how can you set up all provinces/nations to be random in your game
Densetsu Productions it's at options, the standard thing is historical start if I recall correctly, you can change that to custom or random setup
Densetsu Productions it came out with custom nations
Gotcha - thanks guys! As you can tell I'm only a couple hundred hours in and don't have all the DLC - definitely cool to know this is a thing!
What is principality goverment form? And i see some strange things in Starnan goverment section
Limerolick to Baka Government form of Russian minors like Tver
Limerolick to Baka principality is not a government form, it's an Orthodox(?) flavor name.
i know this is a wrong place but can we add czech letters to the game? (šžďťřčěůú)
Lucario Games Please NO, provinces are already hard enough to read...
yup i mean when you rename province
The salt thing was a parody of the sith code...
Imse is a Nick Cave fan. I know who I'm rooting for now!
I like all the freedom :)

Hey :)
Heyy
If Britannia lost without ever even conquering europe, I Swear..
I would do something *BAD*. Well, y'know, disliking the video?..
Britannia needs to conquer Brunei before anything ;D
That actually wasn't a Daniel original, it's actually a salty version of the Code of the Sith. However the salt is quite original.

oh i would like a "hugbox" with Imse alright.... Starnan is a lucky guy
Ke(ks)x unite

İ am disgusted by starnan's and imse's methods of hugboxing and letting allies down policy.
