Perfect! Someone @ work saw me parking garage. This RN asked me how could I afford a new car on my salary when she couldn't. I wasn't a nurse then but I learned how jealous some people can be so messy so right on keep your personal life just that.
I watched your videos when I was studying for the NCLEX. I passed with 75 question BABY. Already start working because I was a nurse extern. Working is another challenge in its self
I LOVE #3. As an LPN I made this mistake working at my first nursing job! This is a super valuable tip and you said it well! I am starting a new job as an RN next month and this is at the top of my LIST!
I made a lot of these mistakes at my first CNA job. I thought I had made friends with one of the girls so we would chat about life outside and next thing I know I find that she had been telling everyone else (including my supervisor who it turns out she was good friends with) that I was having problems in my personal life leading to my coworkers assuming that I was too distracted and frazzled to take on any real responsibilities beyond basic cares. It's probably the biggest lesson I learned next to don't get too attached to your residents in long term care.
You’re not alone hunny you’re just a sweet kind person who sees the world and the goodness in it so when you come across those type of negativity they show their true colors but the ppl you’re caring for sees the real you and that’s the ppl that makes a difference in their lives no matter how short it is you’ve made a positive impact on them. I carry a little piece of memory of all the ppl I cared for that touched my soul and I turn the sadness of losing them to positivity because I know I made them feel happy and loved and cared for. Some ppl have to try but sometimes some have that natural capability to show that love by their actions words or even silence. Good luck love
I WISH I had someone telling me to do the obvious thing when I was a new, young practical nurse! I learned the hard way. Arriving at least 30 minutes early Is good for many jobs, but almost ESSENTIAL If you are a nurse. You are providing very sound, helpful info to anyone beginning a nursing career, and unfamiliar with procedure outside of their clinicals. May you have a rewarding career and remember to take care of yourself 1st so you can be better able to take care of others!:) Take care!
Your tips helped me soooo much during practicum. it helped my nerves/anxiety and helped me be organized and effective. Staff watched me and commented on it. Thank God for you Regina.
I'm a new RN w/about a month of hospital experience. Too bad my floor prohibits looking up patients' charts before you're clocked in. I would gladly come in an hour early to read up on my assignments, but we've been advised not to. I agree that keeping a positive attitude is crucial... having that mentality that "everything is gonna be ok".
OMG!!!! im gona cry.......im dat person, no cell phones, i dont entertain gossip, or tell my business... and coworkers are still try to figure me out. ### 3 was my fav. bcus i wish every person you work with can keep it professional.
Thank you for this video! I graduate in three months and am a little scared, nervous and excited at the same time. I will definitely take these tips to heart.
Jessica 123 Awesome! I'm sure you'll do well with the right focus. Keep in touch and let me know if you have any questions for nursing or for NCLEX :) facebook.com/ReMarReview
This is a great video! I am starting my first day in an acute care setting tomorrow morning. I am very nervous and super excited. Your video helped me to take a deep breath and start getting everything together tonight so that I'm prepared tomorrow. :) wish me luck!
You're amazing! Just found your channel. New graduate nurse waiting to take the NCLEX. Have some nursing videos myself. I love what I've seen so far. Go girl!
These tips are wonderful! I'm a newly nurse and with these tips I know that I will make it. I have worked as an MOA at a cancer center for 4 years and some of these same things you are saying I have witness.
Your videos are AWSOME. I have seen so many nurses that don't last 30 days . If only they had seen your videos .Thank you for your great tips and advice! Could you please send me a copy of your flow sheets .
Is a good tip but I come to work at 6:45 PM and nursing assignments are not ready until 7:00 pm or later because charge nurses have not finished it yet. Then the stress level is coming high when you have to waste more time getting report at that time and being behind from the beginning.
THANKS REGINA FOR THE TIPS,I RECENTLY MET YOU IN BOSTON ON THE 30TH I REALLY APPRECIATED YOR TIME,I LEARN ALOT ON YOUR CLASS ON SUNDAY,I BOUGHT THE PACKAGE TO STUDY,HOPPING THIS TIME GOD WILL MAKE MY DREAM COME TRUE,BELIEVE ME REGINA YOU DOING SUCH A GOOD JOB GOD WILL BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN ABUNDANCE......THANKS ALOT REGINA
Hi ReMar I am considering going into nursing. Great tips! I have an MPH and I did a lot of clinical research, recruiting subjects and collecting bio samples. Do you think my research experience gives me an edge? I am afraid of the environment, very smart to say you are not there to make friends. Cattiness is too common among women in the workplace.
The problem is most of these places don’t have you assignment set up that far ahead of time. Nurses eat their young. Night shift is the only shift I can stand to work.
