I have seen Alex play keyboards on Superconductor and he wrote and played the keyboards on The Garden. There is a beautiful live performance from their Clockwork Angels tour Also Secret Touch from the Snakes and Arrows tour Cheers
Ooh - this one came out when I was in high school. (Mid to late 80s Rush.)It featured Aimee Mann from Til Tuesday (their big hit was "Voices Carry.") That version had nice vocal harmony. Kind of unexpected for Rush.
A drum less version of Time Stand Still because the professor was now missing. I cried through that whole performance... Only go there if you want to be emotional.
Is it possible you've not watched 'The Garden', Live, yet? Last song on the last album... and one of their greatest, in my opinion (as is the whole album). Brings tears to my eyes, every time I watch it.
That's not a very good version, to be honest. His voice is pretty much trashed at this point when hitting higher notes. The original video is the best (and comically cheesy).
You are right about appreciating everything on a first listen.
"Summer's going fast, Nights growing colder, Children growing up, Old friends growing older..." At 52 yo, lyrics do not get any better than that!
Yes, it is very rare to see Alex on the keyboards. Her plays them on the song, "The Garden" when they perform it LIVE. A real treat! ☮

You need to hear the U.S. Army band's version of this song, they released it about a month after Neil's passing. A very touching tribute.
Best band...ever.
the whole cleveland 2011 show is phenomenal! La Villa Strangiato and Working Man is FIRE!
Please watch US Army tribute to Neil. You will appreciate this song even more!

My favourite song of any band live is Rush _ The Garden_Clockwork Angles tour.
We don't see what they all perform on stage. Unless you saw a live concert. 😮😊😢 RIP Neil Peart!! 😢
Hey Rory! Another tune put aside that I love Too is Driven! The kinda song you play loud while driving your car!!!😊😊😊😊
but you've got to do a live version, preferably the Rush in Rio version (IMO)
Yeah, live Rush is best.

masterpiece for sure my channel
ALL THE WORLDS A STAGE The 1st live album Rory
Freewill from same concert
Freewill from Time Machine is the best!!
What a tune . Incredible lyrics of thought . How can you dispute these 3 on stage ??!!😮
Are you deaf and blind 😝
You may want to do the whole Dave Matthews Band live concert from Central Park New York
Or Listener supported
Digital Man from the same concert is awesome
You really gotta see that interview Rory! You will just laugh your butt off.
Nice!
one of their latter stage songs that I actually like... probably stopped paying attention to RUSH after Power Windows
first!
Congratulations, your parents must be very proud. 😊

Great video. And harmony with Aimee.
Inspired by other bands- They are the YES of Canada.......
