How is the instructor expected to look through the periscope on final, when it is most needed, and at the same time watch his airspeed, altitude and rate of descent? and how can the poor man use it even in light turbulence without banging his face again and again?? I fail to understand... Very nice aircraft and video, anyway!
Sometimes I seem to look down. I'm not passing out or anything - I'm speaking to the intercom microphone in the mask. We are not using oxygen so the mask is not on my face.
