Hey, sword nerd here. When forging blades, smiths usually dunk the metal in high smoke point oil, as water can cause metal to cool TOO quickly and crack or warp. Some small adjustments can be quenched with water, but oil is preferred. The device you mentioned for pushing air actually does the opposite. that is a bellows, they are used to feed air to the fire to make it hotter, the more you pump the air the hotter it gets, air cooling is not commonly used in bladesmithing, as its too slow. that is mainly used for annealing, which is to make the blade softer by letting it cool in warm air, usually in like a toaster oven.
I completely missed this one, although I don't think I could have participated on this one, I just started another University year and it's already being a little busy, same reason why I probably missed the challenge in the first place The art is still great as ever tho, cheers for everyone who participated

The name Makwasuchus comes from Macuahuitl (a mesoamerican obsidian sword) and Suchus (A suffix for many crocodilian animals). Also you got pranked >:3 you wanted me to draw a dinosaur and I drew a bipedal crocodile 🐊 muahahahahahahaha.
