I would really enjoy seeing forecasts like this again!
Do you have a discord we can send pictures to?
Luv it! 💜💜💜
My vote is yes!
Seeing them last night in NC was amazing. Always a dream of mine to actually see them.
I’m driving back to NC after a trip in GA and I didn’t know about the solar storm so hopefully we can see them tonight too
Same, saw them around 12am, but fell asleep, hoping to see them again
did you only see them on the horizon or was it also overhead?
@@Tracy-wr7mj more so on horizon line for me
Awe, I bet it was amazing. I'd love to see it. Not sure if it'll reach Texas...
I almost cried last night seeing even just the dull red over south east Texas last night. That was a bucket list event.
Don't empty that bucket too soon ! Lol
Hope we see it tonight in MO. When I looked thru a crazily strong telescope yrs ago & saw rings of Saturn, I actually felt weak kneed a bit. Felt so small!!
I seen them in Central Florida!!! God is so Amazing! The heavens declare the glory of the Lord
@@oohyllabI am also in MO and didn't even realize it was happening last night until I saw pics. I'll be ready to check if anything happens tonight!
I may be just getting too old, but I chose to go to sleep.
Here in England we saw them last night, they were absolutely spectacular... praise the Lord 🙏
The heavens declare His Glory

Hallelujah 🙏
First the eclipse, and now the northern lights? Clouds go away!
Then when nothing happens thay clear up for a month ☠️
@@bluey_originalExactly
@@bluey_original Just like many times weekdays will be nice and sunny and then bad weather on the weekends.
Totally true

This is exciting! Northern lights are an amazing experience, thanks Max.
Damn, I'm in Texas...I really wanted to see the lights. You guys who get to, do enjoy 😊 ✨️
At least we got to see the eclipse 😊 grateful for that. First time seeing it.
Hi Max! I've had long days at work (home hospice). I am SO sorry that in the last few days I could not be on your MOD SQUAD. I always feel guilty when I cannot support you and your work. God bless you for helping to save SO many lives! I'm always with you spiritually and in my prayers for safety for those in the storms' paths.
⛈️🌪⛈️I'm in DFW. Hopefully we'll get some breaks in the clouds to see! 🤞
Gorgeous pink, purple, green northern lights in Yakima, Washington! Amazing-gorgeous! It beats the eclipse
Yes they were! Here in Cowiche!
Hoping we can see them here😁
Here in Hayden, Idaho too!🤩
You’re so lucky!!! I wanted to see the Northern Lights so bad!!!! I never see them in Kansas, sadly.
Thank you for sharing this. Happy early Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms.
Happy Mother's day to you Ms. Alma
@@TT-cu7ze thank you. Happy Mother's Day to you, too.
Awe, thank you! Happy Mother's Day! I hope yours is lovely 💐
@@OmANnIe you're welcome. Thank you.
Happy Mother's Day to you and all the Moms 💕
I saw it last night, I’ll check again tonight to! Thanks!
We saw them near Pittsburgh last night! They were so beautiful! Thanks Max.
I'm in Pittsburgh. I wish I had looked at the sky last night.
@@patriciaherlevi6217 I'm in Pittsburgh and I could just barely see them with my own eyes. I could see it from the corner of my eye. It looked like an odd colored long horizontal cloud. I have an iPhone and it took using the night setting on my camera to see them at all. So if you have an iPhone, try that. I don't know anything about android phones if that's what you have. 😅 Don't forget to look north! My dumb self was looking west for a moment. 😂
I was up from 12 to 3 am in southern Wi it was Amazing!! Thank you Max!
I couldn't see it bc of light pollution, tonight I am going to Nevada to ensure that I see it
Thank you for covering the Northern Lights‼️ Yay I think you are the only meteorologist covering “space weather“.
Space weather. Really are u serious? They originate from the center of our plane. Mount meru, black rock, a giant magnetic mountain at center of earth.
I saw the Northern lights last night in Paducah, KY. Very cool looking to see.
Last night was such a gift!!! I layed on my backyard and just watched in awe. Saved me thousands on trip up north
If anything happens like power grid down, it's because they just shut it off.
Geo Engineering, Solar Manipulation, so much more technology used against us!
shutting off stuff is how to protect the circuits from the flares
@@Flowmaster925 sure unless they shut it off and say that the flares did it and then they don’t turn it on.
No. It's happened before way before there was ever a possibility of modification etc. Not everything is a freaking conspiracy so enough of it.
@@peachxtaehyung now days everything is a conspiracy. Give it a month or two and it’s not a conspiracy anymore!!! Haha so so true
Hoping you guys will get to see them again in the southern US. We get them all year in Alberta Canada and were definitely beautiful last night.
Utah did not disappoint. Red pink purple green blue gorgeous!! Streams in the camera and we did see them with natural eyes as the night wore on. Outstanding!!
A friend in Utah (south of SLC) sent me some pics of the aurora there. You're correct, such a beautiful phenomena to view!!
Yup north of logan. SO DAMN COOL TO SEE!!!
I couldn't see anything in Georgia last night, but I did hear banjos playing. So you could say it was a win. Call your Mom and hug your dog.
call your mom and hug your dog?
Confused
There were some beautiful pictures of the lights as seen from Tybee Island, GA.
@@kathymcmc yeah but what about the banjos? What’s he trying to say
Use your phones camera on night mode
I'm currently growing some northern lights. So this is extra cool
Nice lol.
@@CherokeeBird just autos. But still......
Lol
I've got to see them before in Wisconsin but, last night was too cloudy.😢 I'm hoping for better luck tonight. My grandchildren got to see them for the first time so, I'll take that as a win. Hopefully, we can see them together tonight. Thanks Max!
We had that beautiful full-sky pink in Taos, NM, last night between 12 and 1am. I found a German site that shows the HPO index, which is a half hourly measure of the solar stream reaching ground level (Kp is only averaged and shown every 3 hours), and on that site it showed we hit 11.44+ at one point. WOW!!!
i got to see it faintly last night, i'm so excited to see it again!!
Same here! Outskirts of Kansas City! Saw faint pink sky😢
Use your phones camera on night mode
@@Luke_Skywatcher_ yes that definitely helped 👍
Your phone camera can see things your eyes cannot!! Take pictures of the sky and see if the photos show colors!
Which setting? Normal photo, not live or anything, turn the flash off, and then with it dark outside your phone should flip to a setting with a longer exposure. On an iPhone, that’s the yellow oval at the top with 3s. I think Android is 2 seconds.
I missed them last night in NE Oklahoma, I'm so sad 😞 hopefully tonight I will! Thanks for the info on this! Definitely appreciated
They post pics in a group...
I missed them too. You are not alone. I most likely will not see them though as I'm going to have cloud cover. I am going to attempt it but I don't think I will get to see them.
@@hazel5520 I've seen tons of pics. I want to see it with my own eyes
I missed them in omaha ne was gonna go out at 2 but passed out at about 1:30
I think they were out in Indiana as well last night. So sad I missed them. Hoping I see them tonight.
Here in Cleburne Texas got a faint pink in the sky.
Seen them in Ireland on Friday night and omg 😲 breathtaking it was the strongest northern lights since 2005 for us
Those 9's you see on the K Index are just the max they can put on the chart. The biggest one reached over 11 apparently yesterday.
omg why am i just now hearing this i so want to see them. i didn’t even know texas could even have northern lights
Same! Exactly!
Where I live in Texas, It wasn’t visible but hopefully tonight I can see this rare beauty 🤞🏻
Use your phones camera on night mode
This isn't rare,it's un heard of! The lights were even reported all the way down to the south pole...yeah let the one sink in
Yes I’m very interested 😊
Wow!!! 😵
I gotta tell ya that's a lot of information in 8 Minutes....❤🙃
Your a great all around weatherman.
I had to take a big breath when ya got done!😂
I lived in Alaska for a year, more specifically in Anchorage, and the aurora borealis I saw last night in Olympia Washington was many times better! 🤩
Saw them in West Tn last night. Life long dream to see that. Absolutely amazing!
The photos I took here in N Ohio last night were beautiful. The sky was bright purple at first, them mixed with green. It was amazing!
I also saw them in northern Ohio. Small town around findlay if you know where that is!
I'm blown away about Northern Lights happening in Florida
I did see a picture of this same storm at Cedar Lake campground and I posted those on Facebook
Our sky was so pink last night. I took a few pics here in lawton OK
This was probably one of the coolest things ive seen
I’m currently in Humansville Mo and they were spectacular last night. First time I’ve seen them and I can’t wait for more tonight!! ✌️😊✌️
I'm in northeast Missouri. I forgot to look.
Me too😶
Saw them last night in northern Illinois…. It was unbelievable ❤️❤️❤️
Indian Springs Nevada had lights. Didn't expect it.
Last night was insane! I unfortunately did not get to see the Northern Lights and I even worked a 3rd shift which I never do and I did not see it due to light pollution. A family friend in New Zealand even posted Northern Lights pics. Thats very un-north 🤯
A lot of people saw it in South Florida yesterday!! They said we wouldn’t see it all!! They have no clue when it comes to this lol
We saw them here last night. Washington State, Richland. It was beautiful.
We saw them here in Southeastern Kentucky and they were absolutely beautiful and amazing!
Hope Southern Maryland clears enough to see them. Last was cloudy and rainy. Thanks for the video.
Western Marylander here! Yes, it was rainy last night here too!
My mom's ancestors came to Southern MD / St. George's Island, St. Mary's County! 1643! 😊
My brother is in Prince fredrick he was bummed too.
ty for putting this in an easy to understand way! i hope this doesn't come across wrong but i work at a news station and you have a really good "forecast" voice and do a great job of making it understandable for us without meteorological degrees lol
Saw it in Greensboro North Carolina May 10th 2024. Very bright and easy to see.
Thanks so much Max! We're hoping to see them tonight in N. MI. Last night we had clouds. I hope you're getting some much deserved R&R!
I know somebody in the UP who got some nice pictures last night even though it was partly cloudy. She said it showed up much better on her phone, have it do the 2-3 second exposure that a lot of phones do automatically now at night and you may see a picture with more colors than are visible to you!!
It was very visible here in Northwest Arkansas but I missed them😢😢 I missed them because I didn't know that there was going to be northern lights😢 but I saw many pictures and when I got home at around 12:30 am last night my sister and i went outside to see if we could see the lights and we did!! We were in Springdale Arkansas and we couldn't see it that well there but then we got to our house in Bentonville Arkansas we saw it very lightly
I live close to Little Rock and my whole sky was covered with aurora last night, but too cloudy for us tonight, but man was last night one for the record books
I saw the northern lights in southern Idaho. I managed to take astonishing photos of the lights. Beautiful, bright hughes of greens, reds, pinks, and sometimes hughes of blues.
Praying I see them in Southern Florida! 🙏🏻
Use your phones camera on night mode
South Florida
I saw the northern lights last night here in southeast Michigan. Very cool experience.
In Southern Oregon we saw a bit of red glow in the sky last night, pretty cool!
South America saw this too. The aurora australis
I was so surprised to be able to see it here in illinois. It was incredible. So hoping for more tonight!!!
Here in Durant Oklahoma we got to see it last night around nine thirty! Beautiful hues of red, pink, blue and purple. We could see it with our eyes in mostly red but the pictures taken by our daughter with my wife's iPhone showed all the other colors.
The most amazing thing I’ve ever seen last night in Nebraska. You could look straight up and see the bright white beams of light raining down then turning purple and green in the northern sky.
It was so beautiful last night 🌙.
ironically, will not be able to see it here in Alaska, regardless of cloud cover, as it's light at night here now! Enjoy everyone!
sky was bright pink at 1.40am in finland last night
Saw them in Southern Virginia . Amazing .
The lights in Illinois especially with phone camera were great
I have freinds in Minnesota that saw it last night
It was gorgeous last night in the middle of the palm in Michigan. I got some awesome pics of the lights!
I'm in the Washington state area clear skies i will check it out ...thanks for info 👍 😊
Happy Early Mother’s day
and Happy late Father’s day too if you are in Germany
My dream is to see northern lights but unfortunately I live in Arizona and I feel like we may not get it. But as always I will pray to god to see if he can sent some signs that he is here with me and my family by sending northern light. I am happy to everyone else that will get to see it but it is okay that you don’t get to see northern light but in the future you may get a chance to see some. Stay safe everyone!!❤️❤️🙏🙏
They were visible in OK last night. I think you should be able to see them in AZ. Get away from light pollution and if you don't see them, try and wait a while and keep your eyes on the skies... They kinda come in waves in a way.
God is always with you and your family. Trust Him.
Use your phones camera on night mode
You may get them, and lots of friends said it looked like s shimmery streaky cloud with their eyes, but by taking pictures of the sky with their cell phone (using the night mode, it should default to this where it takes the picture for 2 or 3 seconds and tells you to hold still) they could see the beauty
I did take pictures with my phone at the sky but unfortunately i did not see any
We saw pink and green in East Tennessee last night.
Wow!
I had to get out of my city, but I did see them in TN. They looked dull, but did get somewhat brighter at times. They looked great on my phone camera!
Saw them Friday night from Akron, Oh. Use your cell phone to get pictures, you'll be surprised 👍😉🌞
Everyone around here in Missouri took pics but I didn’t see anything at all.
Iowa last night @ 1:30 am. till 4 am was incredible..im going out tonight (SAT) in hope to get the view again.
Really? I'm in Iowa. Surprised to see someone posting this about Iowa
Awesome I'm in Iowa
We saw them in NW Arkansas last night.
We saw the northern lights when we were visiting Florida maybe 20 years ago. The sky was pink and kept changing slightly. So cool.
Great. This is a fairly detailed explanation of the geomagnetic storm that I am researching on my channel. Thanks for your perspective!
*Thank you for the update!*
It could be seen in central Mississippi last night
DAMN! I NEED TO SEE THIS!
I live in Alberta Canada, so yeah I am going to see it, as long as the Smoke is not that Bad, from the B.C Wild Fires.
I forgot to look last night in Alabama, hope they come thru tonight
Use your phones camera on night mode
Michigan had them last night, I only learned about them today, so I'll check the skies tonight.
Here in Michigan it was so bright it lit up the ground it was crazy!
The risk meter thing should be awake up call regarding our electrical grid, but it'll take a super disaster to wake up DC.
Thanks for the update! Got some cool photos from last night I wish I could share... but I'm not on social media.
~ Washington State
Thanks for the forecast max .
We like everything ya throw out there! Informative & interesting! Thank you!!
I love this! Thanks!! ❤
Thank you Max! Keep up the great work!
If you dont see anything use your cellphone camera on low light settings
Reported seen in sw Florida.
We saw it here in Oklahoma, was stunning! from what I read down into Florida saw it.
It was raining here the first rain this year ☠️ didn’t get to see it
Heyy max love your videos
Couldn't actually see them with unaided eye in NC, but was able to capture it on camera.
There was southern Lights in Australia. first time in 20 years
