A little humble pie hasn't hurt me so far. You've really gotten good, and you were great back then. oh donna you sure did challenge me ,just when i thought i had painting down pat this proved me wrong ,ive been painting with you since your beginning and plan on always painting ,ill probably share it to the group but i think i need to watercolor my back ground used white cardstock 140 lb i love you so much and thank you for humbeling me today
welp, tonight my tulip has gotten quite fat from me using the background color to paint out all the ugly mistakes around the outline. yes, my tulip hasn't missed any meals.

For the vase, did you use grey because the paper was grey? Am trying to learn to paint clear jars n vases.
Yes, a clear glass would allow the background color to show but with a slight shadow.
