Whyyyy I thought as well the stone dude would be one of the guardiens 😅 But tbh hes doing what everybody would try to do when they had superpowers, i like him 😂 and the one from the guardiens for being serious about all the shit rex etc is doing... Small correction, it's not that the team wasn't serious from the start, but that they weren't working as a team. They each attacked their opponent to make 1V1, instead of trying to combine their strength. In this episode, I really liked the final twist where indeed, Titan knocked down his boss, but just to take his place. I'm not going to say anything about the aftermath of the fight, who will survive or not, even if you know the answer, for those who haven't seen the sequel yet. Just that, despite the fact that the first episode had already started out killing superheroes in gore fashion, the series had still managed to surprise me because I hadn't expected this beating. Eve running away from home, clearly it reminds me of the stories of LGBT people who are not accepted by their families, this is not my case, I am still in the closet and I have a gay nephew who has came out to the family, so I know I would probably be accepted, but this kind of scene really touches me. Something that has nothing to do with Invincible, since you were talking about movie reaction, and knowing that you have Latin origins, I was wondering if you had seen Encanto? I saw the film at the end of December and have been a little obsessed with it since, I think it could speak to you too. For me, coming from a large family, the stories of the Madrigal family clearly spoke to me.
I guess I never did get to see it as them starting to fight more cohesively… And yeah, I can totally see Eve’s plot as a parallel of that situation… Honestly it sucks not feeling comfortable enough to just say it and getting it out. I had a Highschool friend who was part of a family with very religious parents. And once she told them she was Lesbian, all hell broke loose. She was no longer allowed to hang with us for like almost a year, she was obligated to keep going to church like 3 times a week… until she started being friendly to some other girls in the church, so the family pulled her out of there…. She was basically not allowed to do anything for the longest and it was terrible. All of us were mad beyond belief (and we were a group of 15 friends 😂). It wasn’t until the mom started to fall ill, and she was the only one who stuck around to take care of her, that the mom realized that she wasn’t going down a “terrible path” because of it… That’s not the only story I have regarding those scenarios between my friends, as out of us 15, only 6 were straight (idk nowadays, but at least back then they were 🤣). So I understand the fear and hesitation behind telling someone’s own family. But I know that it will need to happen eventually, as people need to know who is willing to support them in their life. But all in due time; no need to rush. -Nekko
