Gordon re-opened the newly renovated Massey Hall on Nov.25, 26 and 27, 2021. He was the last artist to play there when it closed after 3 nights to do the reno work - June 29, 30 and July 1 2018.
This video was taken on the last night he'd perform at The Church of Gord/Massey Hall after 170+ times over his lifetime. The legend lives on.
Hearing Gordon always makes me smile! He blessed so many in his lifetime with his wonderful music!♥🎵🎶
Sadly Gordon's voice wasn't the same in the last 4 yrs of his life BUT he still gave every ounce of his energies to please his audience. Paying my respects to you, may you REST IN PEACE Mr Gordon Lightfoot

just a little sad story,, my dad who passed in 2014, age 97 loved this song,,, it was the only one he ever heard,,,,,, I played it for him on his dying bed and it bought a smile to his face

I went and saw him a couple of years ago. He is one of my favorites. I’ll admit that I had to leave at intermission. Although I’m happy he’s still out there doing it, it made me so terribly sad to see him like this. There were a few bright spots but overall it was so diminished. Still absolutely love the guy.
