Amazing level of detail you have painted on such small figures!

Not that I am an expert but the only thing I can see wrong with the AB figures is the length of the bayonets. At virtually the same size as the figure's leg, these are far too long. A bayonet the same length as the distance between the foot and the knee would appear to be more appropriate. Swords tend to be closer to the length of a human leg than a bayonet. [Yes, I know certain British units had 'sword' bayonets but these were for the Baker rifle - the majority of Line units were armed with the popularly named 'Brown Bess'] . Nevertheless, 'gold standard' as you say.

Easier to shorten a bayonet than lengthen it. Fair comment thought.

To be honest, I didn’t realise it until you brought it up. Thanks for the support!

Hi, thanks for the video. Just to let you know TTG Napoleonics are now available through Alternative Armies as they bought all the ranges.

Ahhhh.... so I can get more and add to the few bases that I have! Thanks for the heads up!

Very nice I used to collect 15mm but as I've got older my eyes aren't what they used to be so I've moved over to 28mm, all the best, Garry

28s are great to paint! A totally different skill set for each scale! You’re still painting so that there is the best “win” of the day!

Been playing with 15mm Napoleonic's since the late 1980's (AH Napoleon's battles 1st ed). So have both mini fig box figs and the mini fig blister ones. After gathering dust for 20 years have been pulling them out and touching them up (while looking at large numbers of Old Glory stuff I never got around to painting).
So here is my take on it.
Minifigs were clean but all were the same pose except command.
TTG were much bulkier and had more detail
Old glory were earth shattering when they came out with so many different poses per bag. Down side was they were a bit cluttered on detail and rough to paint at times. Line degraded a bit when the original sculptor had a fatal accident.
Essex was another line sort of like minifigs
Then there was Jacobite which were larger and VERY rough in detail.
In the process of playing with Wargames new sprue of Napoleonic's. At first glance they are maybe 16mm but all I have at this moment is Cavalry and really looking forward to getting my hands on a Infantry sprue.

That’s sounds about right! (Btw I’ve got some old glory in need of paint)
I’m actually thinking of collecting some 15s from different manufacturers just to support and to have an army of different sculpts.
      Thanks for the support
(Personally I thought AH Nap Battles was a good set! The one die roll off were such suspense)

Feel you on that one, have over 1K Old Glory of my own waiting for attention (and a few hundred 28mm warlord Nappys). Between painting jobs punch out a few regiments every now and then. At this point trying to bulk up my 15mm stuff to replace GMT's Command and Colors blocks with stands of figures. Game should convert over to mins rather well once you get a large hex grid tablecloth.

Old Glory still stand up in my view. Campaign Game Miniatures are vary good, slightly softer than the hard detail of OG but they mix reasonably. That said, AB are still the best for me.
