Supercarriers make the Navy a "peer adversary" of the US Air Force. Amphibious Assault Ships make the US Marines a "peer adversary" of any other country's Air Force that's not the US. And that's including China.
Keep it up America! I'm always proud of my country and what amazing technology, etc, we have going. I like seeing these types of crafts being built for future Wars, etc.. America needs to always be prepared! America needs more & more water crafts, attack planes, fighter planes, etc to respond to any threats, crisis, to fight & defend! Keep making more! Proud of my military! Well done!
Keep building more & more America! Don't retire these beautiful crafts! We need them all to stay ahead & for threats to our Nation! I like it! Amazing Technology etc.. impressive planes, etc.. I'm proud to be an American! (native). Bravo! Great video! Like it! Keep it up! USA!!!😊❤👍
It is pronounced .. BA-TA-AN. Named after a peninsula in the philippines where the US and filipino forces made a stand during the japanese invasion of the philippines at the onset of WW2.
I was involved with bolt to keel to combat systems on the LHD 1 - however they are talking about the LHD 5 - they are showing, 2,5,6 and 7 all the same
The US Navy should deploy this ship in the Pacific instead of the Atlantic. Have this ship patrol around the South China Sea and make port calls in the Philippines.
Assault troops have their own close air support, so maybe a full carrier group isn't necessary. When deployed WITH a carrier group, fleet aircraft can concentrate on fleet security and planned strikes. Planning an entire invasion centered around these craft, aircraft are included for all roles: ASW, AA, close-air, precision strikes etc.
Very little new and interesting info was presented in this video. I gave you a thumbs up, anyway, but I found this content to be rather generic, bland and even redundant at times.
I lived in Bataan and you are pronouncing it wrong. Bataan is pronounced Ba Ta an. All vowels pronounced. Filipinos will not know what your talking about.
We need roughly 20 more of these instead of another big Ford class. Everyone knows its harder to hit you when your in more than one place.
what you said is very true, we need more
yes and no, that means more assets/logistics to protect instead of one.

Used to be on the USS Nassau LHA4 was Air Assault in the Marines
Informative but you seem to be showing 3 or 4 different ships in the images other than the USS Bataan.
One thing's for sure, Rocket Boy Kim jong un doesn't have one of these 😂. Nice one US Navy 👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
We need this in the Pacific

Thank you for your order, I will now lead the US Navy as you wish
USS Bataan as well as the USS Leyte Gulf would spur Filipinos a sense of pride and goodwill towards the US military.
The US Navy has ships like these patrolling the Pacific such as USS America and its Amphibious Ready Group(ARG) under 7th Fleet
@@ryanc5517USS Bataan doesn’t belong to the Navy it belongs to the Marines. USS America another LHD operates in the South China Sea.
Nah Philippines need to protect themselves dork

Dai Senryaku Exceed VII.
GO NAVY!!
My grandson is on it now, has been for 100 days.
My grandson is too. They were supposed to be home at end of Jan., which was pushed back a month. I fear it’ll be longer at this point
@@lisahampton4115 They did the same to mine, added another month and he has a baby that he hasn’t seen since last summer.
Guess where she’s going now?
A Marine I know is on it 😢… Prayers for all!
I wish success for Bataan and other vessels in their new mission. God bless all.
Cesar Road
Thanks you so much
At least pronounce the name correctly please. Bahtah-AHN
It should be pronounced as ba-ta-an. As a Filipino, I should know.

It should live up to its name. Deploy in the Pacific. By the way, how powerful? Iran attacked US Bases, yet they do nothing. What is the point ?
Leadership is the problem. At the Top of D.C 😊
