A novel liquid that converts vibration into electricity! (2021/07/01)

When you tap a piezoelectric material, it generates an electric current. However, these materials have until now always been solids.
Here at NIMS, we created a flexible liquid version.
This was made possible by attaching "branched side chains" to the piezoelectric molecules.
Our skillful researchers continue to develop liquid versions of advanced solid materials.

I can think of using this in vibration detection and analysis,having " stick on" patches on various machines and continuously scan vibrations for " learning " and comparing with existing technologies to develop AI based self diagnosis, alarms and shutdown protocols, protecting machines from catastrophic failures 🤔🤔🤔
