    I’ve always wanted to do this. I’ve built many cars from the ground out but never a kit car. Be nice not to worry about rust for a change.

      I think the one thing I really realize with this is there’s not a lot of custom work involved in building it comparatively to some other projects we’ve done. And it comes with the vast majority of the parts required to put it together. You just have to put it together, so much less time spending hours upon hours of trying to find parts that might fit the car

      @@LowBoostFilms But it is very customizable. From engine, transmission, rear end, lights, interior, dash. I like their stock parts but I'd upgrade the dash and the seats. One guy did vinyl wrap of the dash, it looked great.

    What is the length of your trailer? I'm picking up a Coupe project in two weeks PLUS, I'm also picking up a Coyote engine/transmission in another box plus all the 35 other boxes of parts. I have a flatbed trailer similar to yours, but mine might be a few feet longer. I won't know till I go measure what I have and compare the length to your trailer.

    • @LowBoostFilms
      @LowBoostFilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s an 18ft trailer. Depending on the size of the crate, we could have fit one as well as the body. They’d just have to move the body forward where it starts to hang over the dip in the trailer. if yours is even a foot longer that would make it a lot easier.

    • @LowBoostFilms
      @LowBoostFilms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johnd.williams3477 I was worried it wouldn’t fit but it did. We put a few in the back of the extended cab too. And a lot of the boxes have some weight so it would take a lot to blow away. We used some ratchet straps to tie them all down. They also threw a bunch in the coupe too.

    • @LowBoostFilms
      @LowBoostFilms  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Considering Carroll wanted Chevy engines to begin with and Chevy said no because they did not want it to compete with the corvette, plus the fact that the original cobras had British six cylinders, and the fact that Pete Brock, the guy that designed the Daytona coupe, has an LS engine in his own personal one today… I think I’m good to put one in mine.

    • @LowBoostFilms
      @LowBoostFilms  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Type 65 is a lot more than the coupe. It all depends on what you want to spend. We are doing it ourselves with budget engines and parts and looking around 45-50k completion cost. But if you want a $25,000 engine and transmission, $5,000 rear end, and pay to have someone build it. It’ll easily be over 100k.

    You're going to have a lot of problems. The fit-and-finish on these cars is terrible. The customer support doesn't exist. If you take a picture of something that is obviously wrong and send it to them they are going to say it looks great don't worry about it. I've had first-hand experience with this company and they are the epitome of used car salesman. Sorry it looks like a great project but it's going to be an enormous pain in the butt and it's going to be much more expensive than you thought. I can tell you now because of the poor fitment your paint job will cost you $15,000! Be prepared for problems every single step of the way and don't expect the manual to be clear and most surely don't expect customer support to explain anything thoroughly sorry perhaps you should have read the forms first just about everybody on their says the same thing

    • @LowBoostFilms
