It's definitely one of the top 3 for me. I love ocarina of time, majorias mask and wind waker equally. Twilight princess is a good game but I didn't enjoy it as much as those 3 games.
Originally I was like "this game never needed an HD remaster the original graphics are timeless" but revisiting it again, I love the HD remaster. I think the bright bloomy graphics are so beautiful it literally feels like I'm sailing the sea, and the quality of life improvements they made to the game (speed sail, higher wallet size, quick select from the gamepad, being able to turn while grapple swinging) took it to the next level.
I honestly don't consider breath of the wild as a real Zelda game. True Zelda games are adventure games with temples and awesome stories. Breath of the wild is an open world game without temples or a good story. Sadly we might never see a true Zelda game again 😔
I haven't heard anyone say the Wii U remaster is worse. I think it's impossible to even argue. It literally removes every flaw the game has aside from the dungeons which are just good instead of amazing like other zelda games. The only thing I've heard people complain about is how they don't like the bloom, but man to me it just looks so much better with it and the resolution counters that even if you dislike the bloom.
A lot of people prefer how the original looks. The placement of some items like the hero’s charm is weird in HD. There’s also an argument that removing most of the triforce charts makes Rupees feel a lot less rewarding since you don’t need a huge amount anymore. No reason to hunt for regular charts when you don’t need almost 3000 to decipher all the charts anymore.
It blows my mind that Nintendo hasn't released upgraded versions of ocarina of time, majoras mask, wind waker and twilight princess for the Nintendo switch. If those games where available on the switch I would 100% buy the Nintendo switch 2 next year when it releases. Nintendo has gotten insanely lazy ever since the switch released. They basically made a ton of money so they stopped caring. In my opinion the wii U is a better console than the Nintendo switch because it has more Zelda games!! If the Nintendo switch had updated versions of those 4 games it would be the ultimate Zelda platform.
I believe that Ocarina of Time is the best Zelda game because of its flawless structure, lack of filler, great gameplay, and engaging storyline. Wind Waker is an incomplete game. You can tell the ocean's a little empty and some temples have been cut out (fire and ice, for example), but what WW does so well is establish one of the best atmospheres in the entire franchise and diversify the Zelda franchise and give birth to good games like Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.

Not to me Ocarina Of Time and Breath of the WIld i like 4x better than Windwaker, matter of opinion.
