Point of disagreement about Mel in the first half. I red her heavy lifting in the relationship as manipulation. She's an ambitious woman who's smart enough to see that Jayce will change Piltover and possibly the world, and she's made sure so completely intertwine herself with him so that she'll be carried along with him in his rise to power. I feel like this is implied by her saying she's the lowest standing member of her house. She's someone who still has room to climb and gain power, and her being the only one to realize the possibilities of hextech portray her as smarter then most of the other council members.

I do not think we have to worry about Jinx being main, big, bad villain. @@Crazygamergal There is also Urgot or Twitch or Warwick or Blitzcrank and his creator. With so many options it would be odd if Jinx became main big bad villain. @@Goldenevil91 Judging by the trailer, I think we're gonna get the Chembarons and Sevika as our main villains, alongside possibly Viktor. And we'll have Warwick as a wild card in the middle of it all.

I find myself thinking back to She-ra and wondering, why wasn't Catra and Adora's relationship like Vi and Powder's? If the writers of She-ra had done something similar to this, the show would have been so much better. Every one of those little moments between Vi and Catelyn takes weeks to make, no wonder they seem so well done. That 'You're hot, Cupcake' line was in the script from the first draft, the writers and animators clearly know what they want. The only real obstacle to their relationship will be Powder herself. The Season 2 preview makes it quite clear that Catelyn has every intention of hunting down Jinx and making her pay for the (probably) death of her mother, or die trying. Vi is going to have to make a choice between her past and her future. I can only hope it doesn't take another six years for season 2. (Sorry for formatting).
I didnt get that from Caitlyn's comment in the Season 2 trailer. I think that's her responding to Vi regretting going down there with her, probably saying she should have gone alone. I think this is all pointing towards SERIOUS Vi regret, and Caitlyn trying to talk her out of dealing with Jinx all by herself. I sense a death wish of some sort from Vi.

It's mostly carried by A LOT of visual storytelling and subtle queues, which understandably not everyone will pick up on the first viewing. I do feel they took shortcuts because of time constraints, and leaned on the visual storytelling a bit more than they should have.
yup, they should treat their viewer like a retard like modern hollywood movie and tell everything out. expecting viewer to figure out on their own is a dick move.
@@normalguy5583 I think the main issue a lot of people have who watch this, is they are often avid anime watchers, and the two couldnt be more different forms of storytelling. Anime normally is full of long exposition, whereas Arcane is more of a "show dont tell" approach.

Thank you thank you THANK YOU for just saying what the deal is in Silco and Jinx's relationship. Like I am so fricking tired of people trying to convince me he was a good dad while his emotional manipulation and projecting his own shit on her fucked her up for life. This guy gives off massive "narcistic parental figure" vibes and every single sceen with the two of them made me so damn uncomfortable (it's not a jab at the show btw, I think they quite well ilustrated the diffrences between good and bad parental figures). Like I do not know if Silco loves her as his daughter but even if he does this doesn't make him any less of a shitty parent who instead of providing his child with a support and help she clearly needs just made her into even more of emotional, psychotic mess and later had a gull to call that "perfect" when she was at her lowest.
jinx only show "emotional, psychotic mess" when their is something remind her of the past which silco is trying to help her get past (the drown scene with jinx)-> how is he trying to make her worse ? remember they are in Zaun, their are no asylum and you will get kill when you're weak, useless. you think why vi always try to get powder on every mission when she was so young? does vi bad too? silco have never blame jinx for her mistake, never say he dissapointed in her to the point everyone around him know that she is the problem, marcus say that he want to help him get rid of jinx. does this look like silco try to manipulation her into a weapon? i get that silco-hater will never see past the monster part of him to see his human, but don't say like you're right and everyone else is wrong.
@@normalguy5583 Sweetie, I love Silco and I love hating him even more. I think he is a great character and a briliant villain. But I am also tired of people excusing toxic parenting with shit like "but he still loved her" and "it's a though world, he just wanted her to be tough" because those are like 2 favourite ways of gaslighting by toxic parents. Good parent wants a child to grow past him. To no make the same mistakes that they made, to be better then them. Silco was molding Jinx exactly into his image, fuck the drowning scene was him renacting his trauma with her. His intentions may be "good" deep down- but Jinx doesn't need to be told everything is great with her because everything is not great. She is clearly tormented by trauma and guilt, and Silco cannot teach her how to healthly cope with those because he himself has no healthy coping mechanisms. Also the way he talked to Jinx about Vi, the way he molded and manipulated that narrative so that Jinx would feel like she has no one but him and no one to rely on but him- it's an abusive tactic. Jinx isn't emotional psychotic mess only in certain situations- she always is in certain situations. She is constantly bouncing off the walls and her parent told her that yup, this is normal and she needs to channel all those negative feelings into violence, and instead of providing some way to work through all those issuess he tells her the only way is to try to shut it all out. Beside, yup, Vi took Powdwr gor a heist- thing that was framed as a mistake on her part and was later told off by Vander for it. But she was a kid then. Again- I am not making a judgment about Silco's motivations because frankly, they do not matter. He can and probably really belived he was doing the very best and it still does not matter because you can hurt people even when caring a lot about them. And I think this series is wonderfully showcasing that. The truth is a lot of people will grow up with narcissit for a parent. He won't be Silco, but he may use a lot of manipulation tactics Silco used and disguise them as love. And I do not want people to think that if you love your parent and they say they love you, that excuses the shit they put you through.
