Last 6 months we visited Salatiga too cause my wife is originally from there. Comparing with Germany, Indonesia especially Salatiga brings the totally different vibes. The Street food stall, which we can even find easily in the middle of night with affordable price and viel lecker. I would like recommend you to try 'wedang Ronde Jago' when you visit Salatiga again. Cause it's quite humid there, you can also eat ice which look like rice in 'eskimo' ice shop.
Dont forget visit to ambarawa too there more beutiful place and there is my hometown ask your wife ambarawa. There old stasiun kereta api and goa maria

Saya mau minum disini" ( i want to drink at here , can you mix it with hot water ) Or you can say " bisa buatkan saya kopi manis, saya mau minum disini" " ( can you make me sweet coffe , i want to drink at here)
