Canucks are lost without Dakota Joshua! They are missing their secret ingredient of hunger and too satisfied with themselves. Also Demko is allowing some very weak goals, followed up by amazing saves.
well, it was fun while it lasted... signing Petty for 12mill+ /year will feel real good after that monster performance tonight. The type of player we need in big games.
Opposing teams are ramping up and playing the Nucks harder on the puck. And they're adding a bit more physicality ...... It's taken a toll, Vancouver looks burned out. Tired.

lmao my favorite part of this game is when the Nucks fans are doing a "refs you suck" chant as they usually do and Fiala shuts them up real quick. love to see it!
1. Petterson is clearly distracted from media talks about his contracts etc. I think it's pretty selfish of him to hold out in contract negotiations while his team is in a position to contend for a cup. You either re-sign now or you shut media down and tell them to stfu about contracts talk until after the season. 2. #80 is a waste of a roster spot. He has not earned PP time over some of the regulars in the lineup. He takes bad penalties and he looks lost out there majority of the time. Honestly what does he bring to the team and how is he playing on the first/second line? 3. I get Juulsen is trying but man... his split second decisions are just awful. 4. Thank you to Garland, Miller, Hoglander, Zadorov and the 4th line for always showing up and playing with so much energy despite the score (whether winning or losing) 5. It is losing stretches like this where team morale in the locker room is very important. I know Kuzzy and Dak would have brought life into the energy with their extroverted personality and humor. Especially Kuz. I always thought Kuz was just naturally dynamic on offense and could always create something out of nothing even if they didn't translate to actual goals.
With peteys performance in the last bit, it's either he doesn't want to play here or we're seeing he might be more of a product of who he plays with. Either way, he's not playing Anywhere near a 10 mil player. You can tell the chemistry is off with these guys. Also why is Bains out there so much and playing on the PP? He's taking bad penalties to boot.
That is a questionable move by the coach. Even insisting petterson playing on different pp unit. Since Lindhom was inserted on the first pp unit, their slump begins. Inserting him in that line up is putting other players in a shooting position where it is not their usual.
Looking like the regular Canucks. Losing leads and losing just badly. What do you expect, when pretty much Miller is the only player producing? One player can't win most games. With Miller last year, everyone questioned him and his contract, and now he's the best player now. You know this is a problem. LOL.
Funny, after 2011 I swore off ever watching them again. I started watching in 75, and have only been disappointed. But my dad is 80 and hockey is one of the few things we can enjoy together. So I joined NHL tv in December. Now it’s all this. Don’t know why I bothered.
As a true canucklehead fan ( jeez it has been over 50 years) I wasn’t getting fooled, figured it would be a bonus if they made the playoffs, and I know they’re never getting a real franchise player, the twins were close but way too good of sportsman, needed some nastyness. Lots of Canadian teams to watch this year 😂
Bains is nothing special… he takes lazy penalties and every time the puck is on his stick he doesn’t know what to do with it. Call up Podkolzin, give him a shot instead. Mikheyev and Suter are doing nothing either. Canucks just need actual top 6 wingers. Boeser, Miller and Demko are the only ones trying. Pettersson needs to get his stuff together too.
That Lindholm trade. They were 1st place overall, steamrolling along. Then you make a major trade that upsets the balance of the team and they gave up the farm to get him. Great move guys!
This is a damn coach error, and it has been so all over this down streak for the Canucks. You have a very strong line in Miller, Boeser and Pettersson. But you refuse to play it. Pettersson is invisible in his current line. Way to coach yourself away from a playoff-spot.
Aww come on, it’s the Swedish Canucks, they need to get on the road, get away from momma and get some structure in their job. Sure hope they find some good meatballs in California

Tocchet is garbage. Blowing up all the lines is a house league move. The only thing missing is double shifting his own kid and bringing up his little brother and playing him first line and on the power play. Oh wait, he's kind of doing that with Baines. Yeah house league coach of the year. They're done.

Pettersson will shortly sign a 100 million dollar deal with the Nucks. Does he LOOK like a 100 million dollar player? Right now he couldn''t carry MacKinnon's golf clubs. No more home run deals at the deadline. The trade for Lindholm is backfiring in their faces. His play seems to be dragging EP40 down with him. Go Nucks Go! Sigh. Welcome to the Canuckverse.
How could so many people not see this coming? I saw the signs back in December that this was going to happen starting right after the all star break, and here we are, 5-6-2 since the all star break. My prediction was that we would be .500 or slightly below from the break to the end of season. Nobody would believe me. The schedule was too unbalanced and had people thinking they were better than they really are. We struggle too much against the teams we would be playing 2nd or 3rd round against, if we make it that far.
It’s not the schedule we messed up our chemistry. Trading kuzmenko was a mistake he was doing fine. Losing Dakota Joshua was like a sledgehammer to the foot. We lost our momentum after the all star break and lindholm is non existent most games. Are back lines aren’t working like they were before and we can’t rely on boeser and miller every game. Not to mention Petterson is not playing like he was either.
What it is is now their playing better teams, they picked up all their wins agaisnst struggling teams and took advantage of that. Told you in the second half of the season they would collapse.
@@CorryGal If one player changes a team that much (who wasn’t playing great 2-way hockey) it’s obvious the six game slump is because of work ethic. That’s one player. Multiply that by the rest who were looking into the stands during the game tonight instead of concentrating on getting pucks deep, for another perspective as to what’s not working. How come they don't call it 'the trap' anymore... looks like the Kings play 'trappy' and the Canucks have real problems with that... in fact, I think teams around the league have got the Canucks figured out now... I think a .500 record for the rest of the schedule will just get them into the playoffs and out in the first round.. they don't look good.
Really disappointed in the Canucks right now, they lost six in their last seven games. Ever since losing Kuzmenko and Joshua, the team has since been going downfall. They really need to start working on the following. - Skate better and faster - Pass better, so you won't accidentally pass to the opposing team. - Do better on their power plays - Shoot the puck whenever it's time, never wait until the last minute. - Defend better I really hope the Canucks improve on all of these techniques before the playoffs.
The Canucks were trash last night with all the missed pucks, poor stick handling, and bad plays. Also who the hell is Bains and why is he here? Such trash and needs to stay in the minors until for sure they are ready to play in the big league. They were more trouble then help. Tocchet needs to stop following the Leafs example of changing the lines around. They were good in the early season before the all star break, but the All star break curse is really getting them. Let's hope the next game ends the drought for the Canucks and we can get ready for the playoffs. Go Canucks Go!!!
Canucks have a high ego coach who refuses to acknowledge that chesmitry does matter, and only looks at stats. The Lotto line works, yet Tocchet doesn't like using it. Kumenzko? Had your fun benching him because he wasn't doing good? Look at the Canucks now. No chemstry.
The game was very hard to watch. There were times when I didn't worry if the canucks were behind because you feel and see it in their game that they can catch up and win it at the end. But this time you can tell they just don’t have it. Players showing panic and no confidence at all at their shots even their passing. That being said there is no puck support. Players most of the time couldn't find open passes. They are playing as individual rather as a group
Don’t know what to even say about this one. Poor performance. Some nasty turnovers that cost us. That long pass to kopitar 3rd goal was insane. Our defence was none existent in the back Demko had no chance. That’s the problem with playing guys at the point, if you bobble the puck the opponent can make a mad dash to the net. First goal was stupid, Demko was screened by his own teammate couldn’t see the puck at all.
Ever since they signed Lindholm and broke up their dominating Lotto line to fit him into the lineup, they lost their mojo. Trying to get better when your already leading the league can end up breaking what got you there in the first place.

I never want to see Bains play a game at home again. Road games only as an extra forward. I have never screamed as loud at a player as I did when I watched the play die twice on his stick as he panicked and had 000000 sense. Keep him in Abbotsford he can sell tickets to surrey fans.
What a pass by kopitar.👌
The vibe has shifted in Vancouver
У Токкета в штабе есть Зубов, который издавна ненавидит Кузьменко. Именно он не взял Кузьменко на олимпиаду
Canucks are lost without Dakota Joshua! They are missing their secret ingredient of hunger and too satisfied with themselves. Also Demko is allowing some very weak goals, followed up by amazing saves.
Canucks will always let you down.
Yup, Canucks are going out in the 1st round
without Joshua yes. And what happens when someone takes a run at our captain? The team needs atleast 1 mean forward and another bruising Dman
well, it was fun while it lasted... signing Petty for 12mill+ /year will feel real good after that monster performance tonight. The type of player we need in big games.
Way to go vancouver!!!
Way to go!!!
Canucks looking more and more like Boudreau is back at the helm….
Opposing teams are ramping up and playing the Nucks harder on the puck.
And they're adding a bit more physicality ...... It's taken a toll,
Vancouver looks burned out. Tired.
Canucks back to their old self, love to see it
Canucks fans in here ready to blow it all up after facing a little adversity😂. Doughty with a rocket and just general solid play loooking a bit like his vintage self out there.
lmao my favorite part of this game is when the Nucks fans are doing a "refs you suck" chant as they usually do and Fiala shuts them up real quick. love to see it!
4. Thank you to Garland, Miller, Hoglander, Zadorov and the 4th line for always showing up and playing with so much energy despite the score (whether winning or losing)
Vancouver's East Indian community is begging to have a Canuck player...they will give him every chance they can...they want that local East Indian $!
So this is the slide that Canucks fans have been expecting since the season started? Let's see if they can pull themselves out of it.
Looking like the regular Canucks. Losing leads and losing just badly. What do you expect, when pretty much Miller is the only player producing? One player can't win most games. With Miller last year, everyone questioned him and his contract, and now he's the best player now. You know this is a problem. LOL.
Canucks of old is starting to show, im so sick of this team after following them for over 50 years...
Funny, after 2011 I swore off ever watching them again. I started watching in 75, and have only been disappointed. But my dad is 80 and hockey is one of the few things we can enjoy together. So I joined NHL tv in December.
Now it’s all this.
Don’t know why I bothered.
Losing Joshua killed our chemistry
As a true canucklehead fan ( jeez it has been over 50 years) I wasn’t getting fooled, figured it would be a bonus if they made the playoffs, and I know they’re never getting a real franchise player, the twins were close but way too good of sportsman, needed some nastyness. Lots of Canadian teams to watch this year 😂
@@griggbaylee5808 not Bure ?
@@shizuokaBLUES The guy that wouldn’t play in Vancouver after they brought him from behind the iron curtain?
Bains is nothing special… he takes lazy penalties and every time the puck is on his stick he doesn’t know what to do with it. Call up Podkolzin, give him a shot instead. Mikheyev and Suter are doing nothing either. Canucks just need actual top 6 wingers. Boeser, Miller and Demko are the only ones trying. Pettersson needs to get his stuff together too.
Yes bring up Podkolzin! He’s the one with the best chance of making an impact on this team!
Bains is good. Just needs to shoot and not overthink.
If they keep playing this bad we’re going to drop to 4th in the division… oilers are playing great, kings doing alright, knights are picking up steam.
Experiment a bit with the Garland line and try to find someone that can fill the Joshua-void.
They're still 1st in the division lmao
@@chrismdb5686 yes, but with the losses adding up they could in theory miss the playoffs.
I also didn't like Demko's goaltending and after today's performance they should start Casey DeSmith in their next game.
I have said this for the last 2 years. I DONT THINK PETEY WANTS TO PLAY HERE
I think you may be right….
Spoiled Swedish filth
Aww come on, it’s the Swedish Canucks, they need to get on the road, get away from momma and get some structure in their job.
Sure hope they find some good meatballs in California
Yet he's actively negotiating with the team so the media and people like you shut up and he can play hockey again without distractions
@@chrismdb5686 he doesn’t like Vancouver you can tell. He wants to be somewhere else. I don’t really like him TBH and I could care less if they trade him.
ух короли дали красивую игры,молодцы,с победой!!!косатки последнии игры сливают.
Tocchet is garbage. Blowing up all the lines is a house league move. The only thing missing is double shifting his own kid and bringing up his little brother and playing him first line and on the power play. Oh wait, he's kind of doing that with Baines. Yeah house league coach of the year. They're done.
2 dozens game left, and have to fight for the playoffs spot. Who would have guessed that back in January
Canucks has to setup Pettersson alot more if they want more wins.
Remember when Canuckleheads thought they won the cup before the all star break while the rest of us waited for the tires to fall off the bus? Here we go.
GO KINGS GO!!!!!
No chemistry anymore missing Joshua was a huge part of their success and without him it’s killing the team. I agree with a lot of people in the comments, trading kuzmenko was a mistake. He was a hard working player and contributed goals and making plays. We are done. It was a fun run. Unless something major happens we are going to get destroyed in the playoffs
I guess it was about time the canucks go through their own slump this season. Also give Demko a break. DeSmith needs to play against strong teams too
They are still in a good position. Fans need to get off of there back. This is the NHL every team goes through rough patches. They will be good and ready for the playoffs. Why is Toch not putting the lotto line back together?
Where wad Peterson no show
Only good thing from this game for the Canucks was that hit from Juulsen
The Canucks stank after Bains joined the team.
bains has been fine - but he has to produce offensively. doesn't help having new linemates every game. defensively he is solid but needs to stop taking penalties
Get used to it...he is there to please the East Indian community in Vancouver!
Great News! Allvin listened to me and sent #80 back to Abbotsford.
WTF U GUYS WTF... why you guys are so sloppy......you're not cutting it? You let fans down so many times.
Boy, was this a bad loss!
sorry, but this is a coaching issue here now. Tocchet needs to show some balls and start sending guys back to the local league simple
Okay, how much did Hollywood spend to rig this game?
Sent Josh is out with injuries the team is not any good you need to get him back
pety playing like he dont wanna get resigned, Boeser is playing like an off brand Ovi, tf is that negative backcheck, but hey all players and teams have slumps, im just hoping this is a shorter one
Bad look Canucks… literally.
Even Demko is not playing his best; the Cannots are in a slump. It gives me no pleasure in watching them play anymore. I'm now an Oilers fan....sad
That Hronek holding penalty call was a joke. Led to a goal, of course
Knew it was to good to be true
This could not have happened to a more deserving fan base. Keyboard warrior Canuck fans kept quiet again.
What I can't stand about you Van Fans, is y'all were dogging out Kuzy when he was there. Now that he's gone, you're annoyed they traded him out. So sad
It seems no one tried this game ngl, like when they got the breakaway one of our guys tried to get the puck once and then just gave up and coasted.
Honetsly bring up some new guys send some old guys down and send a message that we need to be producing
Im convinced Drew Doughty sold his soul to the devil.....
It seems like the canucks are now experiencing what the Kings have been going through at the start of the new year lol 😂
I guess thats what happens when you actually play a good team
@@justinbarton8808 How was Kuzmenko doing fine from the press box as a healthy scratch?
Vancouver fans : Blame Myers for lose
Wouldn’t blame him for the loss but he’s an absolute pylon
No this was a team problem, myers wasn’t even part of the equation
What a lame game by EP40, step up or step off ok!?
God I hope the Kings start heating up.
GG Kings
LA😎✌🤝
What it is is now their playing better teams, they picked up all their wins agaisnst struggling teams and took advantage of that. Told you in the second half of the season they would collapse.
Canucks allways lose after Kuzy's trade :D
Alexis is a Flameouts fanbot
Replacing Kuzy with #80 changed the team chemistry for the worse.
@@CorryGal If one player changes a team that much (who wasn’t playing great 2-way hockey) it’s obvious the six game slump is because of work ethic. Kuzmenko may’ve been nonchalant, there’s other issues plaguing the team mindset of a cohesive team mindset. Petey signs earlier for whatever was on the table and he’s got one less thing on his mind. That’s one player. Multiply that by the rest who were looking into the stands during the game tonight instead of concentrating on getting pucks deep, for another perspective as to what’s not working. Baring down on the bringing the hard hat to the job site wins almost every day over expectations of media and fans
@@Ship-19 Watch on VOD the games in which #80 played and you'll see how he changed the team chemistry. Taking early dumb penalties put the Canucks on the defensive with one less player.
@@Ship-19 Great News! Allvin listened to me and sent #80 back to Abbotsford.
- Skate better and faster
- Pass better, so you won't accidentally pass to the opposing team.
- Do better on their power plays
- Shoot the puck whenever it's time, never wait until the last minute.
- Defend better
I really hope the Canucks improve on all of these techniques before the playoffs.
Thank you for imparting to us how these NHL athletes can improve. Skate better, pass better, and defend better. Very insightful.
just do everything better, and they'll be good. got it
looks like someone payed extra for a over bet! bettman ?
First goal was stupid, Demko was screened by his own teammate couldn’t see the puck at all.
playoff Vancouver
Wake up Petterson 🤦♂️ better re-think what they plan on paying this guy with the lack of effort he put out tonite sheesh
That looked like a luongo
Ever since they signed Lindholm and broke up their dominating Lotto line to fit him into the lineup, they lost their mojo. Trying to get better when your already leading the league can end up breaking what got you there in the first place.
