Going upwards to the mountains is way much easier if you do it with the treeplatforms and treebridges, i had one in my save but that was way too long to walk, becouse back then there wasn't any ziplines in the game yet. You are doing good with your the forest let't play broadbent, keep on going!

You know you can get some artifact that you stab in the ground to attract the cannibals or switch to make them flee the area, Can't remember how but I am sure you could find a video on youtube showing it. Would help you while your building.
Damn man, how do you do that your opponents are just standing when you slice them with the katana?! When I play on hard or hard survival they jump all over around like crazy and it takes em just a few hits to kill me, so most of the times its pointless for me to use the katana because it has no blocking abilities, and with the modern axe for instance I can at least try to block their hits; besides on "hard" mode it takes forever to kill just one of them, not even mentioning that if there is more of them I mostly don't stand a chance, so my tactics is to find some elevation, climb up there and just nuke 'em from above with the bow/dynamite/molotovs; plus there is one more annoying thing which happens pretty often to me lately: when I have an axe with a cloth on it and I light it up, and I hit the cannibals, the fuckers simply dont burn like it was before, I dont know if its a bug or just a change made with some update of the game

Just imagine me. The very first day of my very first time playing this game I had 15 cannibals attack me right when I left the plane. I killed like 7 of them and then even more came and knocked me down and drug me into the cave. As soon as I got out of the cave I ran into roughly 10 of them. Killed them all and then got ambushed by 6 more and died on my first day >
