I took some flat stock, approx. 3/16 or 1/4 by 1 1/2 or 2 inches and cut out 12 pieces just longer than the width of the leafs. Then bolted two together at the ends so the separate leafs were together more like one, this keeps the springs from axle wrapping a little bit. I'm making a traction bar like they do on offroad jeeps, this is a common problem with this body style, even the lightnings.
It helped some but will still hop really bad if I just drop the clutch standing still, making some clamps and clamping the springs together in front of the axle helped some too. I will post a vid of my traction bar once completed.
what do you mean by clamping the springs together in front of the axel? clamping together the leafsprings? i am very curios...i get very bad wheel hop and have a similar truck (92 f150)
