We have facelifted our Prado from 2012 to 2023,and it's worth it, the look is totally different and car looks new and fresh

Sunil Sir, my question while considering the EV motorcycle segment, you've always considered the per unit cost and free maintenance, etc. but something I've noticed is the EVs normally require a battery change after a couple of years. If I invest in an electric scooter which is relatively pricier than a normal motorcycle in Pakistan and after a few years, it requires a battery change, won't that be expensive for me then? I do want to believe in EV future and policies but for now, it all seems like a slogan to me. I believe EVs are more of an environment savior than a cheaper alternative to other vehicles. They can't save us any money, be it two-wheeler or even a bus. Please give your input on this. Thank you!
Yes, you're right that ev scooters are expensive and it's battery becomes dead but these are not environmental savior
They do save as money in the long run, dunno about bikes but lithium Ion batteries on cars lasts 10+ years and petrol prices are set to go higher whilst electricity is locally produced
@@ciybersal3499 understandable, but if you compare the prices of lithium ion batteries, yes their prices will decrease with time but that is only possible if they are locally produced which I don’t see happening because of the policies of pakistan. Secondly I think EVs should be introduced only for the rich just like the solar energy. Meaning the rich would first implement it because it’s affordable for them and then it would pass on to the majority people in pakistan

Batteries will not be produced in Pakistan as we are away behind, same as engines were never produced and still are not locally produced. However the cost of batteries will fall dramatically fall over the next few years as hundreds of billions are poured into new battery chemistries globally to find the most efficient, cost effective, safest and most economically and environmentally viable solution.
Remember we are at early stages of EV revolution and petrol car market is rapidly in decline, Model Y best seller in 2023. As EV production is scaled up costs per unit will fall and new battery technologies also help in reduction of costs. As petrol cars production scale falls per unit costs still rise therefore we will see a point EV becomes cheaper to petrol cars even in Pakistan without local battery production. Already we see Pure EV Series 3 at 83 Lacs which is extremely competitive to same segment Honda HRV, Peugeot 2008 at similar price points, something which seemed impossible only few years ago
