    Thanks for the reply. I as a crane electrician worked on two in Sydney a long time ago. The electrical panel has changed quite a bit if you are correct.

      It certainly has, they went with frequency drives for everything instead of the big toaster oven/resistor box. Still have some of the older ones in the fleet though. A nice spot to warm your hands in the cold months!

      @@smedco Yep, I was horrified when my company bought these two cranes. I thought I’d gone into a time warp back twenty years. The slew worked quite well considering it wasn’t a VSD. The anti back notch needed a sit down in a quiet room to work it out (circuit wise). Sydney never really got cold enough to need to put my back up against the resistance bank. Must be cold where you live.

    Which crane is this?

      Been awhile, I want to say it was a MR 415. Definitely a Potain luffer of some sort though.
