just booked Hilton La Romana for our honeymoon for June next year. We can't wait to go there, and i love the fact that you made me believe i wont regret booking a enclave suite! Hope you guys are well and thanks for the helpufull tips and video, like you did, i also have seen E V E R Y sinlge video about it. Super excited, especially to go to the snorkel ^-^
Hi Trevor. I've been to this hotel before but stayed on the family side because I have a couple of young kids. I'm going back again next month and was wondering if there is much going on at the adult side in the form of night life?
Hi! There is, however it is more of a casual sit around and drink atmosphere with some chill music not much of an exciting party scene outside of the disco/casino!
Thank you! We watched some of the Bruno mars concert one night, good but very cheesy lol. However we spent most of our evenings at dinner and walking around the resort so it was always a passing by type of thing. They did movie nights, trapeze, Dominican night, to name a few. Activity wise we did try out the water sports and did the kayak! Definitely a bit of everything at this resort! Have a fun trip!
@@cutiexjoody715 we used Rafael Gil! He works through Hilton at the resort. If you havnt joined some of the Facebook groups for this hotel they’re great. 9 out of 10 people use him. You can message him on Facebook which is what I did, he is the main one taking people to and from the airport!
Thank you for the video, such a great review 👌 We're planing to go in Feb and bringing a baby (around 1 year old), only thing we're still not sure on is paying for Enclave or not. Is there a family Enclave beach area or is the Enclave beach adults only? Thanks!
There is a family enclave beach section, mostly rocky coast in that section but it has more shade than the normal family area. We found enclave nice but not necessary, but then again we stayed on the adult enclave beach and pool the entire time! You can also purchase enclave benefits when you arrive at the hotel without the room up charge, which is what we did. For $250 for 6 nights looking back was definitely worth it!
Great review!! thanks a lot! I would like to know if the "enclave" upgrade is really worth it in addition to the different pools and special places on the beach, thanks!
Thank you for watching! It depends on what you’re looking for out of your trip, if you want a quieter spot on the beach with a good amount of shade then the enclave upgrade is worth it for that alone. We didn’t utilize all of the upgrades like having access to restaurants for lunch because we didn’t want to change from beachwear and never felt like we were missing out. We didn’t choose the room upgrade just amenities so I can’t say much for that. The enclave adult pool was relaxing and had sun for most of the day. For us it was worth it, and we got a better rate once arrive at the hotel instead of booking before, we didn’t get the enclave check in experience but we were not bothered by it. Still had an amazing time with it and without enclave.
@@TrevorShrier This helps! I guess you're good to go outside or is safety a limitation? We're planning on going a little longer and would like to know if there is stuff going on in the neighborhood of the hotel :-)
@@JNL-q6t Bayahibe is overall very safe! Just some people trying to get you to buy a tour or something from their gift shop. I wouldn’t be scared to venture out just be back before dark to be safe! I also saw a few guards beside the beach for protection. For us going into town wasn’t a MUST SEE but cool to see more local scenery. Lots to do inside the resort as well though.
hi! what would you say the demographic was like age group wise? I’m going with family but I’d love to hopefully see people in my age range too (19-21). Thanks for the video! Definitely got me more excited ✨💓
Hii there’s a good range of everyone! However there were a few moments on the adult side where we were like… I think we might be the youngest ones here! Lol Definitely should have some people your age on the family side! Not lots as it is alot of couples or people with smaller kids
In bayahibe there’s lots of things to do just a 10 min walk down the beach! Keep in mind it’s a small local vibe but very interesting! And we found to be very safe during the day!
Of course! we tipped a dollar or 2 USD for drinks at the bar and beach service. Around 5 for servers at restaurants. We never tipped more than 5 I believe. There were lots of guests not tipping as well. The staff didn’t seem to treat anyone differently based on tips, however they do appreciate it!
I enjoyed your video it was the most relatable review I have seen so far. Can you provide the name and contact information of the guy who provided transportation
@@TrevorShrier I’ve been to both and honest opinion is Catalonia’s cost is a little cheaper but way better. The Royal is the adults only side and there is an adults only swim up bar
