I see online the album single rode Billboard for 61 weeks at #1, a record! And its been top 10 in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017! I knew I wasnt crazy when I immediately picked up on the POWER of God & beauty of this song obsessively!!! Its being played on repeat in my home since I found it a month ago during a spiritual mental emotional and physical issue. This has just strengthened my faith in God and Jesus Christ our savior. He is on the way! ❤❤❤❤❤🙏☮
Sorry I only just saw this!! Great question, @LeaRNing2b1! When Taya belts in Oceans, she’s using what we call mix voice, which blends chest voice and head voice. She gets power and depth from her chest voice, combined with the high sweetness and resonance of head voice. She also uses pharyngeal resonance, which helps give her voice more power and clarity. Mix voice allows singers to combine the strength of chest voice with the lighter, flexible resonance of head voice, creating those strong, controlled high notes without straining. Taya’s technique is such a great example of this! 😀💕
Hello, have you ever thought of reacting to FAOUZIA? When you know that she was judged by ADAM LAMBERT and DIMASH as an incredible singer, that should convince you, I think.

Im curious about the high notes. I know what head voice is but what do you call regular notes, especially when belting like this?
