I too was stationed in Germany and was stationed there for 44 months. You are correct - you must go visit the Neuschwanstein castle.

Excellent Ben! I just gave my middle daughter dawn some basswood and cotton wood bark. She decided she wanted to carve! I need to dig up a knife and some gouges. So glad to see ya! Yesterday i got a call from one of my friends son's. Dang it she has bone cancer now. Break my heart! I was thinking about ya last night. I sure am sorry Ben but carving is a go to when emotions are high! Thank u so much! Im glad u got some little gnome boys running around xmas is coming and they r still with us amen🙏💖💖🙏
Thank You...In my opinion Cottonwood Bark is very difficult and hard to carve for beginners with knives and chisels. It lends itself to power carving but the grain is goofy and will not cut were you want it without a high level of skill... Basswood on the other hand..Premo... Only thing better than basswood is Tupelo... You will have trouble getting Tupelo as Professional bird carvers use it as it is not as "fuzzy" as basswood. Thank you for your Kind words.. Ben

Ben, I don't smoke, I did at one time but quit. I am secure enough in my non-smoking that the sight of a cigarette pack doesn't bother me at all. We all make our own choices. Anyone who gets triggered by the sight of a cigarette pack or an ash tray has a problem that they really ought to get some help with. For some reason our society bends over backwards to cater to the easily-offended. Screw em! Love the videos
