A buddy and I built a skid platform for my pop-up house works great for taking yr gear on-off the lake helps keep u warmer. I wanted it for camping on the ice and the only way to beat it is a permanent house.

Awesome build. I saw the one clayton has at a local store last year. Thought it was a good start but definitely there things I thought could be better especially for the price they want. Your's looks really great!

I saw the same CSO video and after a little bit of measuring and a little bit of CAD drawing I have my first prototype yesterday. I too have the problem of the table wanting to lean down. Was thinking of some fixes for that: narrowing the gap and not routering the spaces that wrap around the hub poles, adding more layers of plywood at the pole notches to “lever” the table back up, etc. The bungee cord is a great easy solution though. I may try that.

Arc labs makes the ones Clayton has I believe. I start my shelf build for my flip and hub this weekend though. Good stuff!

Cool quick build, should help to eliminate clutter. Thanks for the video!

Adding a lip of some sort along the front could keep small stuff from sliding off

That would also eliminate the need for routing spaces into the shelf that limit what you can put on it and where. What that ledge would be made of though, I do not know.

That's an awesome idea! Set up spots for calls, gloves, rattle bags, ect.

Does the outside notch part of the board that latches behind the hub poles damage the fabric at all? Or does it just flex the poles inward? Thinking about how tight the fabric is at the hubs.

Just flexes the poles inward a bit. Finally was able to really test it this weekend. I'd say make the notches a little deeper, but I slid my shanty across the ice and the shelf stayed up, pretty happy with it.

Seems like you could have made it out of that plastic cutting board material and marketed what you have and made a ton of money

What if you run it on the top of the black piece on the top post it will rest on the black piece and not flop down

I have a Ridgid trim router I use. It's like 10 years old, I love it.
