Our Schnauzer had a problem licking her paws. Our local dog expert shop suggested cutting chicken as you mention and it worked. Also absolute lol and the outdoor chair cover 😂😂😂

Awwww! We’ve had schnauzer’s until 2 years ago when Abi passed away. At the time we thought we wouldn’t have another dog. It was so devastating! We waited almost another 18 months before we got our Callie. She’s a beagle and a little pistol. Love watching your schnauzers. Milo is my favorite and the cats are cool also.
I learn so much from you and am happy that you take such good care of your boys. Some people think they know so much more than others and will share it with unsolicited, like Milo or Magnums health decisions you make. I know people like that and some days it is just plain hard to not let a comment get under the skin. Epiphany! Please don't stop telling us about the boys health, you have helped me with my girls. I shared with you about my schnauzer that looks like Milo, and her's skin problems. And after taking her off chicken it helps, but I having problems finding a good dog food for her. Please share if you find one .
My dogs ( two schnauzers) were alergic to chicken and other proteins and scratched constantly. We tried everything. My daughers dog has allergies and her vet put her dog on Hydrolized protein, made by Hill's. I thought what do I have to lose, so I tried it and my dogs instantly stopped itching. the Hydrolized food somehow, the body does not recognize it as a protein. It is a prescription food and is very low in fat (only 4%). I order it from Chewy. Good luck. I also use the Zero water system for everything we ingest. Including the dogs. I have the pitcher and filter water to fill up 5 gallon jugs for my big dispenser.

My pit/american bull dog is allergic to chicken. I feed Vinnie lamb and rice. He is doing great on it. He love it. Please do your research. I have been look at the ingredients, everything I seen has chicken by product in it. I watch Vinnie very close for any rashes and hives.

Yes, I had to exclude chicken from my dog's food when she was a puppy and change to another single protein, of which there are many. And yes, I did exclude grains from her diet. I was advised to try very small portions of various kinds of grain-free, single protein foods and put them out in small containers to see which she liked. The pet food store gave me free samples, which I really appreciated. I also consulted a pet nutritionist, who suggested lots of options and which might be more suitable for my fur baby. Just some thoughts for consideration when the problem, as you say, could be allergies.
I had a miniature schnauzer that was allergic to wheat. He itch terrible. Plus he had allergies to grass and trees so I had to rinse his feet off all summer and he just loved to roll in the grass. We gave him antihistamines which I worked at Cleveland Clinic and I was able to buy a bigger bottle there cheaper and then I ended up giving him allergy shots for the environmental stuff and gave him dog food and treats with no wheat in them.plus he was allergic to turkey. Mine could eat chicken, I had him allergy tested. Allergies are really difficult to manage now it’s better with the drugs they have now they didn’t have them back 15 years ago and I had this wonderful little schnauzer. Don’t listen to people listen to your vet and that’s it. I am a retired nurse and let me tell you. I keep my opinions to myself. I am shocked with people post that have no qualifications for anything. When I had it done it was a blood test and they do the blood from his vein in his neck and it cost about $200 and that was 97, 98 or 99 i just can’t secretary remember. Kim should get Pet libra. Water fountains I have three of them. I give them filtered water out of my refrigerator and then it’s filtered in refrig twice with petlibro . So filtered 3 x. You can’t believe how dirty the filters are when you replace them every week but I have one that has like 5 L in and then two other ones that have 2 1/2 L I cannot tell you how fast my three dogs drink that water they love the filtered water. They have it on Amazon and I think it’s still on sale for Black Friday prices and then I set up the filters to come every six weeks.
Kim, just tossing it out there, I've been feeding my mini schnauzers on a raw diet and the vet bills and allergies have been pretty much non-existant for the last 7 years. I'm sure there's a local spot, but I use RawDeliveryMN (they ship all over the country) and 60-70 grams a serving 2x a day of their 80/10/10 Trio mix. Freeze dried fingerlings are a huge hit as well :)
Come to Erie County Pennsylvania. We have the National Guard in trying to dig us. All out. Roads are closed. Everything else is closed factory schools, colleges stores. I’ve had 3 foot of snow since Friday morning and we’re supposed to get up to two more feet. I have to get out and shovel for the dogs and then my schnauzer won’t go out till I shovel and soon as she steps out the door she goes running through the deep snow. She’s crazy.😂 my miniature is like no way you have to shovel for me cause I’m not going out in that.😂 I was told that the older you get the colder you get.

Could Milo actually be allergic to soy? Chicken and eggs,the hens are fed soy. I am allergicc to soy. Sorry, just a thought from my personal experience and Pharmacy knowr.
We still hear the sadness in your voice. I'm giving this thought; I could be very wrong. Perhaps you are suffering from PTSD. You have gone through an awful lot. You should be always carrying around a pup for the physical contact. Never be seen without a pup in your arms. At least try it, see if it works. I watch your boys looking up at you, and they are trying to tell you something...."pick me up".

That’s a ton of snow. I saw some areas of Michigan got a couple feet too.
I make my schnauzer food. It has helped her skin but she still has breakouts.
