Gentrification at its finest. It all began in the late 90s. Before that, it used to be ordinary folks community. Now only wealthy foreigners can afford to live in those super high-rises.
@ 22:06 The park on the left was donated to the city for the people never to be developed. Nevertheless, the city sold half of it to the high-rise next door for expansion. So much for leaving land to the city.

I stayed there 3 years ago for vacation, good question. One thing for sure , Brickell has become the Manhattan of the South!
Its great to see the other side of the world but the West of Ireland is 100000x nicer. (Just my opinion) People of the USA might not agree. :):) If you do a walking tour of the Wild Atlantic Way on the West Coast of Ireland, your views will quadruple over night.:):):)
