A minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips. Eat protein. Eggs are the most efficient and nutrient foods on the planet. Carbohydrates wont satisfy you for long.
Always love the energy of Sarah and Emma together. It was interesting to see what their favs are since there was a great variety of things that aren't too mainstream I'd say. Definitely will keep some of them in mind to try out when I get the chance. ^-^
Zaru soba was my absolute favourite dish to eat from June-August when I lived in Japan. So many small restaurants that had it no matter where I was and it really did feel quite refreshing to eat. One of the very few things that made summer bearable hah.
I have to eat gluten free so I'll try anything. Also if you ever find lays dill pickle potato chips they might help with your salt and vinegar chip addiction. Or hope Amazon has some. I don't like salt and vinegar chips but I like the pickle ones
When I was there in February, I found a plain chicken onigiri. I was so excited because I do not like nori and I want to eat onigiri so it is difficult to find ones not wrapped with seaweed. But those little round ones are sooo good. The chicken is very simple but tasty. You should try it!
Yay! Sarah and Emma together again! My go-to onigiri were usually the mentaiko-mayo (I think I've been mentioning mentaiko a lot lately) and the miso flavors. Tuna-may was also pretty decent. I guess the addition of mayo helps, because I didn't care for the plain tuna onigiri as much. For a savory snack, I loved the pizza-flavored potato chips. And for sweet, there was this old-fashioned glazed donut that was stick-shaped with a twist about halfway. I think that was from Lawson. Another summer favorite was the chocomint ice cream bar. I liked trying all the unsweetened teas, as well. I seem to remember Soukembicha was a favorite (not sure of spelling, it's been a while), and there was this lovely English milk tea I would get occasionally.
The two of you together is always so fun! ❤ Also you two always look super cute. I love Emmas outfit here especially! She looks adoreable with her bow and glasses! I miss her red hair, but also love her new hair style quite a lot though! ❤
I love those steam eye masks! My eyes get itchy from my allergies and eye masks here don't usually cover your eyes (they're usually under eye instead). I found one of them at some Japanese store I went to and tried it and really liked it! I like that they just use steam and not chemicals like a lot of Korean face masks do. I've used them at home and when traveling. Recently I bought a whole box of them off of Amazon (not the specific brand Sarah showed, though I did recognize it) because one of my eyes had gotten puffy from my CPAP mask blowing air into my eyes. I've also tried those chocolate covered almonds. Most candy packaged that way has an "adult" vibe, I feel. (Sometimes they're even marketed that way, like the "otona" Oreos I bought one time that were basically just like regular Oreos, except they were sugar wafer-type cookies rather than sandwich cookies). When I bought them I didn't expect them to be actual almonds wrapped in chocolate for some reason. They were quite good though! I don't eat almonds much, but I really like the Hershey bars with almonds in them, and this kind of reminded me of that.
“I just get to have warm eyeballs… it’s luxurious.” A sentence I never thought I’d hear in my life. But now I must know this luxury of which you speak…
I simply LO-VE the butter and maple pancakes. I have them every time I can, sometimes twice a day... I'm a junkie for them... 😁 Also partial to the egg steamed cake... Ok, I'm partial to ALL combini treats...
When I was there, I lived off those pancakes and CC lemon. We had to travel there in September and it was still so hot that I was stuggling big time (chronic pain sucks) and the cc kept me going. I miss the conbinis so much that I get irrationally angry sometimes just thinking of them.
Now I got really curious about the citrus chips, I don't think I've ever had chips with any citrus flavor and don't even recall seeing any in the chips section of the local store. I usually just buy the more basic, salted chips, but after both of you picked citrus flavored chips I'm kind of feeling the urge to go look through the chips sections of all the local stores to see what I can find :)
Guys, trust me on this and please try the new released Lawson bread called 'じゅわバタ塩メロンパン" Salted butter Melon-pan. It's the new biggest thing and I've been addicted to it. its only 150yen but its michelin star quality dessert. PLEASE TRUST ME
I got some fussili noodle looking pea chips in taiwan a couple of months ago. They were also lemon flavored with pink rock salt. Super tasty though I haven´t seen anything similar in germany before. Also I still have an empty box of the meiji chocolate covered macadamia nuts sitting on my desk... which is empty... but I find the box so pretty I can´t bring myself to throw it 🤣
I like edamame snacks(from the rabbit dried chips, dried flat chips, and puffy version)for lunch mostly chicken yakkitori with egg salad sando~☆ dessert i like soymilk yogurt with kinako powder. For drink is green tea like hocha or genmai, or barley or matcha with soy milk, or plain soymilk😊
Aloha from Maui 🌈 Thank you for another fun video and your recommendations! I will be in Fukuoka for three weeks studying at Meiji Academy in June and July. I will be on a student's budget, so this is perfect. I am looking forward to discovering my favorites. Do you have any favorite spots that I shouldn't miss? And it's great to see you Emma. 😊
Few decades ago when I went to Japan with my mom, I saw "Onigiri" but didn't know what it was because we can't read Japanese, but I found some chef boy R-D and got that instead. Shrug. lol
Uhm..I'm not in Japan at the moment, but the next chance I get I'm sticking a piece of fried chicken between maple pancakes. That looks amazing! Although there's something intriguing about plain-a** onigiri..
IIRC, Sharmeleon recommended the convienence store zaru soba/udon in one of her videos, too. I was looking forward to trying it when I eventually go to Japan, but that won't be happening now that I know it's only available in the summer since I'm planning on visiting later in the fall. Oh well, at least I'll still be able to get warm soup-style noodles. That'll probably be more practical for the colder seasons anyways. I also want to try different kinds of onigiri, especially the ginger flavored one Emma tried in the "trying every onigiri" video she did with Abroad in Japan a while back. Edit: changed the noodle from ramen to soba/udon because I my memory is atrocious, apparently.
I try to avoid buying at convenience stores as much as possible. I always try to buy at normal supermarkets. It is much cheaper and better at supermarkets. And there is much more variety also. Most supermarkets have their own kitchen so they make the 弁当 (bentō) on the spot. The 弁当 sold at convenience stores are made at factories at night and need to be transported to the stores. So they probably add preservatives and other chemicals so the 弁当 don't spoil. So the 弁当 is not as fresh or healthy as the ones from supermarkets. And most supermarkets sell at discount after 6pm. So you can buy a large 弁当 for 300, even 200 yens.
14:26 what's the risk? XD burning eyes, if you are allergic to lavender or idk what is inside :D i hate the smell of lavender and i am allergic to camomile, but maybe if there are other options and i will be lucky to fly on a plane for a whole day, i will try something similar :3
pretty sure Jordan would be all over that popcorn xD Though yeah the convinient store pasta oof i eat way to many of those one my way to the hotel from drinking, besides that, i've been avoiding them recently. besides 7/11 atm that is.
I can pretty much attest that with the konbini alone, you could probably identify 5 days worth of food to have if you really cant think of what to eat Then on the weekends, go for Ramen, rinse and repeat Just the famichiki alone would work for breakfast, albeit...unhealthy
from an aussie guy watching 2 aussie girls on a japanese channel - i for the life of me dont understand why so many channels translate and put the price in USD? at least TC put both JPY and USD, but when channels do just USD it is near impossible to figure out prices. id have to see the exchange rate between USD and AUD at the time of the video lol iv looked at tourists stats by countries in to japan and all i can think of is your channel stats and pretty much all japanese channels must overwhelmingly have US viewers? - which is not always consistent with the folk in the comments. im just curious...maybe a lil excessively :P
Did you agree with our conbini favs? What are yours?? Let us know below!
love the choco almonds
I agree !
I like cold noodles in summer (ざるそば、ざるうどん、冷やし中華)
A minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips. Eat protein. Eggs are the most efficient and nutrient foods on the planet. Carbohydrates wont satisfy you for long.
whoever did the audio engineering to make sarah intelligible over those bags deserves a raise
Its great to see Emma again, it feels so long since I have seen her!
been a minute since we've seen Emma😍 These two need a full time exploring gig.
You can’t go wrong when you put these two together. My favorite duo. 😊
Watching Emma happily devour a cream puff makes me feel happy haha. Ooh soothing eye mask
Emma x Seera are my favorite duo…any duos with Emma❤❤❤❤❤❤
Always love the energy of Sarah and Emma together. It was interesting to see what their favs are since there was a great variety of things that aren't too mainstream I'd say. Definitely will keep some of them in mind to try out when I get the chance. ^-^

So glad to see Emma in this TC vid! Sarah and Emma are always so fun to watch 👏👏👏
Does anyone else like any of my favs?? I am a proud fan of the simple onigiri!! 🍙
Sometimes you just feel like eating something simple and plain. I eat pieces of nori with just steamed rice all the time. Nothing wrong with it!
Mentaiko-mayo and miso for me! They were my favorite go-tos.
Always love a nice cold udon!!! My fav as well
I have to eat gluten free so I'll try anything. Also if you ever find lays dill pickle potato chips they might help with your salt and vinegar chip addiction. Or hope Amazon has some. I don't like salt and vinegar chips but I like the pickle ones

Glad to see Emma back hopefully some more videos will follow
I know these sit-down standalone videos kinda suck to do for Emma and Sarah, but at least there's food. Girls love their snacks. And I'm here for it
You two are a very entertaining team. Laughed through the whole video!
Thanks so much!!

"Please, Sarah, open the chips closer to the microphone."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So excited to try ALL your recommendations, when I fly to Japan in September and stay there for six months x3
The two of you together is always so fun! ❤
Also you two always look super cute. I love Emmas outfit here especially! She looks adoreable with her bow and glasses! I miss her red hair, but also love her new hair style quite a lot though! ❤
OMG those little panda cookies are great... A friend sent me some strawberry ones and I am sooooo addicted!
Sarah and Emma are the best ❤
During this trip I rarely went to conbini. Depachika is the next level up and price isn’t a big jump.
I love those steam eye masks! My eyes get itchy from my allergies and eye masks here don't usually cover your eyes (they're usually under eye instead). Yayyyyy, Emma!
My absolute favourite duo! Soooo funny! 😁
Perfect duo!🎉
Loving Sera's ASMR bag opening
That White Peach bev Emma had was my constant go to while I was visiting. It tasted SOO good and sometimes gave me a lil buzz
Strawberry yoghurt drink and melon pan was my go-to conbini breakfast. Citrus (or honey) flavoured crisps on the other hand...ergh.
finally some emmaaaaa!
I simply LO-VE the butter and maple pancakes. I have them every time I can, sometimes twice a day... I'm a junkie for them... 😁 Also partial to the egg steamed cake... Ok, I'm partial to ALL combini treats...
The best thing is the chocolate chip cookie from 7/11 one of the only decent soft cookeis you can find easily in Japan
When I was there, I lived off those pancakes and CC lemon. We had to travel there in September and it was still so hot that I was stuggling big time (chronic pain sucks) and the cc kept me going.
I miss the conbinis so much that I get irrationally angry sometimes just thinking of them.
Pretty sure Sarah was subconsciously singing the Australia's funniest home videos theme.
"Australia! Australia! This is YOU!"
You just unlocked a memory I'd forgotten about.
I dream of the Melon-Pan I had on my trip to japan at the Combini's. Not overly sweet and just delicious.
Emma! Yes.
Omg yes the 7/11 apples are my fav !!
Now I got really curious about the citrus chips, I don't think I've ever had chips with any citrus flavor and don't even recall seeing any in the chips section of the local store. Coincidentally tried the shikuwasa crisps a couple of days ago and they're amazing, they really reminded me of lime doritos actually
we even have these little koala thingies in germany. I really liked these as a child. Now i have to try them again XDDD
Emma was on one this video in a good way haha

Great ASMR food session, I love it 🎉❤
I got a great laugh out of you two. You’re both still so Aussie. Very funny thanks! 😂
I hope i can come to try it all one day
thosee Meiji Almond is my goto when I travel by train! they are soooo good!
Yay! Emma!
Mushipan is my absolute favourite.
Daiso in Australia sells those chocolate almonds and I am totally addicted.

Seven-Eleven's frozen peperoncino spaghetti is the best. It's also cheap, so be sure to give it a try.
I could sit and eat edamame all day.
Plain onigiri all the way as well.
メープルパンケーキのファミチキ?のサンドイッチは、思いっきりUSジャンクフードですねWWW♩

yes ! the Zaru soba w Inari from Lawsons is my fave ! what ever happened to the peanut butter sanwiches and fruit sandos? seems rare these days
That yogurt drink looks good
First to hop onto this video!! I love all your contents!

Hey, it's my favorite duo ❤
Ice Latte is my favorite, so cheap and so yum
さけるチーズを割かないだと!😂
セブンのカレーパンおすすめです👍
Lawson ❤
The best conbini snack in Japan is a black thunder bar 🔥🔥🔥
Whenever I need my Aussie/Japan hit I just give you guys a watch 😂
Not any fellow Aussies anywhere near me here in Gunma 🤣
Few decades ago when I went to Japan with my mom, I saw "Onigiri" but didn't know what it was because we can't read Japanese, but I found some chef boy R-D and got that instead. Shrug. lol
My local convenience store's best food is stale nachos and dried up hot dogs.
Mine probs serves botulism.
The girls are back!
My go-to snacks in Japan are Black Thunder, Big Thunder, and Noir cookies.
Do you know that the Koala-Version is from Germany? ;) That's our "Panda" Cookies version. :D

You can find zaru soba in cooler seasons too, it’s a regular item at lots of conbini :)

That's good to know, thank you!
Wow the ending was unexpected 🤣🤣🤣
Schönes Lied 😂❤ Im hungry now

i'd like that eye mask sans the lavender smell . only thing that helps with an oncoming migraine is smth warm on my eyes .
That cheese is fun to crack open, like peeling bark off a tree. That is why it is named “peeling cheese."
Love how it turned into a "Let's see what we can shove down Emma's throat" mukbang there at the end. lol
14:26 what's the risk? XD burning eyes, if you are allergic to lavender or idk what is inside :D i hate the smell of lavender and i am allergic to camomile, but maybe if there are other options and i will be lucky to fly on a plane for a whole day, i will try something similar :3
yummy snacks!
Sarah nooooo THAT'S CALLED A STRING CHEESE FOR A REASON GURL lolol
I really wanna go to conbinis in Japan. They are way nicer than America
Melon pan is my favorite snack but I hear combining an egg sandwich with Famichiki is suppose to be the best snack ever
Mother and child is a common fav in Japan ....chicken and egg
are you from Japan? Have you tried the じゅわバタ塩メロンパン from lawson yet? Everyone's talking about it and its actually real good. Try it when you can
外国人に人気なのはイチゴサンドとたまごサンド、ブラックサンダーっていうチョコとメロンパン
セブン、ローソン、ファミマのフライドチキン食べ比べも色んな国の人が楽しんでるよ
Not a conbini but I love the 99 yen castella cake at seiyuu
Emma doing the chicken she did with aki
Every day I wake up and I'm sad I'm not in Japan
pretty sure Jordan would be all over that popcorn xD
Though yeah the convinient store pasta oof i eat way to many of those one my way to the hotel from drinking, besides that, i've been avoiding them recently.
besides 7/11 atm that is.
Editor calling out Sarah 😂
"did you put the mic in the bag this time" 😂10/10 editing
I wouldn't be surprised when Emma appears on a TC vid again, she would still be wearing the eye mask.
Might have to make this happen 😅
Sarah 😍😍😍😍

7 Eleven in Thailand has really good onigiri
コンビニじゃないけど、ぼちぼち成城石井の良さに気づく人がいても良さそうなんだが😄
Warm Eyeballs. I snorted when I heard that.
I feel most of that stuff can be found in japanese stores here in Los Angeles
They call it a tuck shop in Australia too ?!
Does Emma have her own channel too or no?😮
