Extension of 5kms from Neelambur to Goldwins is of course necessary. But the proposed metro rail is facing problem throughout the stretch of the Avanashi road flyover of 10 km from Uppiliplayam to Airport because of this bridge. So at least after finalization of metro rail the additional stretch can be taken up.
