    Yup. All I needed were some hex keys and a TORQUE WRENCH.

    so does this isospeed technology wear out over time? the rubber compound i assume that can make the ride more softer would need to be replaced eventually right?

    actually it is not 4Nm but 2Nm for the decoupler bolt ;)

    Can you raise the stack with front isospeed? Is it open interworking frame to choose stems and handlebars of our choice? Does rear isospeed work with 3rd party seatposts or does it constraint you?

    • @trekbikes
      @trekbikes  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      IsoSpeed doesn't have any interaction with the seatpost or cockpit components such as seatposts and stems allowing you to adjust your bike or use components that suit you best. Seatposts such as what is on this bike, are specific to the frame, but stems can be replaced with aftermarket options easily.

    At 49 seconds, If you "remove this bolt and washer entirely" a small plastic washer will fall out.

    Has anyone tried to move the adjustment to a completely stiffer side for the Madone and if yes what difference did it make

    This is way simpler (and probably just as good) than the complicated and over-engineered Diverge STR with its 9 carbon tubes, damper stuff and other maintenance things. 😅

    I'm 250lbs and worried about this isospeed giving me trouble down the road. Should I just get the aluminium instead?

    • @trekbikes
      @trekbikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      IsoSpeed does not have a weight limit, but each bike would have a combined weight limit. You shouldn't have to worry about your weight with most bikes!

    I have an issue for my Madone SLR 6. I adjusted the iso speed to the more compliant setting by moving the slider towards the handle bar but every time after a 1-2 hour ride the slider would move back towards the seat mast by 3mm-5mm or some times even more. I basically have to adjust the slider every time after riding because the slider just keeps moving backwards. Can someone address this issue or does anyone have the same issue?

    • @trekbikes
      @trekbikes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We'd suggest bringing your bike into your local Trek dealer to have them look over your IsoSpeed system. This could be related to the bolt torque, but it would need to be looked over by your dealer to confirm!

      HiI have the same problem with a Madone SL7 2021, have you solved your problem?

  • @81antiloop
    @81antiloop 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a Madone SLR - I purchased just the frame set (Rim brake, rage red). When taking off the Isospeed assembly, there wasnt a washer for the front bolt. Is this normal ? My frame was purchased back in Jan 2020.
    Also, your torque settings seem different from what is printed on the frame. On mine, it reads 2NM at the front bolt, and 3.8nm at the damper screw. Did you guys mix it up ?

    • @trekbikes
      @trekbikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the IsoSpeed hardware, there is a wavy washer and flat washer between the bolt on the non-drive side and the internal bushing.
      As for torque specs, we always suggest what is printed on your frame!

    Not enough efficient on irregular roads compared to a VTC (e.g. Cube Kathmandou). There is no amortized fork in front, so it is not much useful, all the more with slick tires

      Adjustable IsoSpeed is offered on Domane SLR models, specifically in this video we show our 2020 Domane SLR. However, we did offer another adjustable design for Domane SLR in 2017-2019.
