Rent the Runway CEO Jennifer Hyman envisions closets "moving into the cloud"

Recode Executive Editor Kara Swisher and Senior Commerce Editor Jason Del Rey sat down with Rent the Runway’s Jennifer Hyman at Code Commerce in Las Vegas. The three discussed Runway’s shift from being a way for women to rent outfits for special occasions to being a subscription business for professional women to expand their wardrobes. Now her rental logistics service is sought after by major clothing brands.

loved the interview 'Jennifer Hyman', focused, in-depth and insightful, this is a real solution that addresses a real problem. It definitely has the potential to make the whole world its runway... only one thing that worries me slightly is the customer's "privacy factor"

This selfish billionaire CEO is making it a problem that the "whole world wants its runway". She only has TWO warehouses in the whole nation, and due to that, quotas are extremely high to the point where after THREE weeks, a lot of people get fired. Management has even admitted to us during orientation that the company has a high turnover rate. Instead of hiring more people to make quotas lower, she decides to pay people $12 an hour to bust their ass just to get fired in 2-4 weeks. I'm not making this up, i work here, and if you dont believe me, there are tons of reviews on glassdoor.com and indeed.com that say the same thing.
