Good job though mate, despite the points, will be an awesome strong hull.

Mate, unsure if I told yoyu this already but don't bother with the double bias. The combination matt is much easier to use (1708 in the states). The chop layer holds it together nicely and it lays down much bettrer than just the Db. You can get it in Aus. Saves you an extra layer of chop as well. Cheers.

@@Fluid36 Hey mate, thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate it. I done a bit of research prior buying the mat tried getting my hands on a 1708 just finding out the 600db in Australia is the same. just name Different but essentially (600db+225csm) pretty sure anyways
I was only gonna do the 450csm with the 600 upside down so it finishes off of the 225csm as the top layer but ended up changing my mind & add 450 on top just for tolerances for sanding and added thickness for the hull bit of overkill for a piece of mind 👍👍

@@neverenoughboating Ok so you are saying the 600 DB you have is in fact combination matt and not 600 DB? DB does not have matt attached, combination matt does

@@Fluid36 hey mate, just found the receipt now so I ended up buying
616 GM/450 GM double bias/CSM combination Mat little bit heavier than I thought with the chop strand

@@neverenoughboating That's double the csm component to a 17/08 (8oz = around 227 grams). Pretty thick combo matt. Definitely takes away the requirement for extra CSM layer.

Also mate you're trying to do much in one go and having to grind the glass during lamination. Just do the hull section by section. The chemical bond is still just as good for days / weeks with laminating resin, no rush to do it all in one go.
