I think they started catching more fish when the dogs stopped swimming all around in the water. They sure were pulling them in. Houston, one time I caught a little teeny bass while fishing and put him in my 20 gallon Aquarium. My teenage son would always tease him with food on his finger. As the bass grew and got to about 8 to 9 inches long, he continued to tease him. On this certain day, I was having to wear a heart monitor forv24 hours. My son stuck his finger in the tank with food on it and Mr. Bossy latched on hard and Bruce snatched his hand out with the fish hanging on. The bass landed behind the chair he was sitting in. I busted out laughing. Next day when I turned in the heart monitor, I told them what happened and the time. They called me and were laughing because the activity was off the chart. But my heart was fine.
Fishing is the utimate rewarding challenge for entertaining yourself !!! Too much fun for all those tall fish tail stories...for the one that got away ! I LOVE FISHING TOO ! LOVE WATCHING YOU FISH WITH YOUR FRIENDS HOUSTON !!!!!!!!

When you go to add water to Houston's pond use one of them screw on the hose rv water filters it will remove the chlorine from the city water by 95% at least. They are 20 bucks at wal mart , the blue ones by camco I think the name is , make sure you run water through it first though to clean out the charcoal dust . 👍
I made my first fishing pole with a stick and fishing line. My Grandpa attached a hook at the end of the line. I’ll never forget how proud I was, more importantly, how proud he was ❤️

I'll always appreciate the gentle release of caught fish. I know it's a problem of getting bit by horseflies or mosquitos, just rub some Bounce fabric softener sheets on you, prior to your outing. Worked for my boyfriend and I when we pitched horseshoes at the local tavern. Other teams were getting bit up, while we could concentrate on our game!

When I was 10 we moved to Missouri. Lived next to a big River. My cousins lived about an 1/8 th of a mile away. All we did was fish and hunt. Before I was old enough to get my drivers license, my cousins and I would canoe miles up and down the river. Best time of my life. So glad I didn't grow up in a city and got to experience nature at a young age. Oh and one of the things I miss the most is a good high rope swing that would launch you into the river.

Only dog missing is Cali. You should build a gazebo with screens that you can take out if bugs are not too bad. Put a out door table or picnic table to enjoy catch, clean & cooks in there. On on side build a fold down table if you want for extra room when the kids are not fishing. Umm Mom's not going to be happy Earl lol. Nice hat. I bet every kid in the city wish if they don't have a swimming pool or a creek to enjoy swimming - guess a beach if not full of ppl. ** If your wondering how to clean out the poop. At the pet stores they have a tube with a smaller tube attached. Now the trick is to suck the water till you get it close with out hitting your mouth lol. You then hold the bigger tube on the bottom moving it around to siphon the poop. It will flow after it starts. I used it on my big fish tank in doors. ** Cool idea to buy live minnows, I put very tiny ones in mine tank by morning there were none left my gold fish ate them lol. Cali needs a bath lol. That was awesome with the go pro in the tank. Stay safe & Take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))
