Beautiful!! Thank you Gabriel!! When I was touring the islands in 1977, haha, the boats between islands were so small and kind of rustic. I remember going below deck and getting a toasted cheese and salami sandwich for maybe 25 cents or so. There you be a man using a panini grill. It was so fun, and being 19, a delight to have a cheep meal. Usually I stayed with families who rented out a room or two. I think about 13$ on most islands, even Santorini. It still looks beautiful, and I appreciate traveling along with you Gabriel! Safe travels and beautiful swims!! ❤❤
I did that too, 5 years later and for a good 15 years! I remember the pasta on the boats. The Greeks used to call it 'karavisia makaronatha', meaning boat pasta. The decks were full of youngsters with guitars. Nobody wanted to go into the lounges because of the terrible smell and the fun on the deck! I guess we are lucky to experience this, long before the fast ferries.
@@livinggood-dt8pt Did that too in 70's and 80's and everything was so cheap. Then tourism hit. Would be met by people offering their rooms when getting off ferry. Food was great. Beer was less than a U.S. dollar at a table with a view.
Don't miss Archangel Michael of Mantamados ! God bless you dear Gabriel ! Take care and stay safe ! Enjoy all your explorations ! Have a good one dear traveler !
You did it to my Island Gabriel! So great! Keep in mind that from the place you eat in the video called Romeikos Gialos you see Athos mountain on a clear day! I'm not on the Island I live in Thessaloniki, and wish you a great time! Had made post about great places 2 days before on a video when you was on Lesbos! The airport on Limnos is a big and normal one for passengers. Are they no ferrys to Samothraki from Limnos?
You are absolutely correct man. There are no ferries to Samothraki from anywhere besides the city of Alexandroupoli (unless maybe in high season?) You can’t get there from any of the other islands. It would be really nice if you could. Samothraki is super remote and a pain in the ass island to reach, but totally worth it. It’s one of the most wild islands in Greece. I was there in 2019 and it was incredible. The island is famous for its waterfalls, but I’m not sure if they would be all dried up at this time of year.. I was there in April/May time and they were flowing strong
18:25 Gabriel, I think you have to do it like this: from Lemnos you go to the mainland by ferry to Kavala (you can book a ticket online, but the ferry doesn't go every day, only a few times during the week), from Kavala you take a ferry to Prinos in Thassos (I think you have to buy a ticket directly from the carrier, not online). Then from Thassos you return to the mainland, in Kavala, or in Keramoti, and then from there you have to travel east (by bus or car) to Alexandroupoli, because only from Alexandroupoli you have a direct ferry to Samothrace.
Why is he to waste all of the time on boats and buses when he can take a cheap flight from Lemnos to Athens? Lemnos to kavala is at least 6 hours by boat and half hour by plane. Samothraki is not worth the trip…the waters are very choppy and nothing much to see.
@@tanyab244 As far as I understand him, his goal is to visit Thassos and Samothrace, no matter what, because his goal is to visit as many Greek islands as possible, both the interesting ones and the less interesting ones.
They got repellent for the mosquitoes, you plug it in and they don't bother you at night just leave your door open a bit for fresh air to flow in the room.
It was never clear to me why Lemnos is not as visited as the other Greek islands. The island definitely belongs to the top 10 Greek islands. Although it is located in the north of Greece, it looks more bare than the other islands in the north, it is more like the Cyclades in the south.
Having lived for nearly 4 years in Limnos, this island has similar but clearly different vibes from Lesvos. Both are somewhat introvert in terms that you have to discover their treasures. Limnos is smaller, more accessible, no monasteries, better beaches so it takes the heart of a traveler easier. Lesvos is for loyal visitors.
It seems like Gabriel did not pay a visit to the seaside road to the Mytilini airport where a lot of mansions decorate the town. Better luck next time I hope.
always wanted to visit lemnos maybe will in winter before start for next season great video also. speed jet 2 is a big fast ferry indeed. enjoy your time in lesvos
The regular route to go to Samothraki is via Kavala by catching a ferry from Lemnos. Then you can buy a bus ticket to Alexandroupolis (ktel). From Alexandroupolis, there are ferries to Samothraki. The trip takes two hours. The airport at Lemnos has daily direct flights to Athens, Thessaloniki and Mytilene.
Hello Gabriel. Always watch your Greek travel videos. Right now we are traveling a bit on top of each other, as we left Lesvos on Tuesday and have via Chios, Samos and Ikaria ended up at Fourni, which is a wonderful place to be. On Monday we are going from here - are we going south to Patmos - we have been there before - and that way towards Agasthoni or back north towards Psara and Inousses to experience them? Lesbos and Lesvos are the same island, but it's pronounced more like Lesvos. Many Greek islands have more than one spelling in English. I'm now on Lemnos, which is also spelled Limnos.

Hi Gabriel, Nice travel day. The weather is outstanding, but there is still plenty of nice summer weather. Looking good for swimming and relaxing.
Hello vato
That moussaka and Greek salad looked delicious!
It was a hot summer this July in Greece. Thanks for sharing, I am already missing Greece.
You create the best intro and outro for your videos. That sunset with the music!! Magical! 🇬🇷✨

I hope that moussaka has stayed in reasonable prices in Limnos. Try “mantella” at the village of Sardes for local recipes.

Watching from Atlanta 👍
Love the look of that island, limnos, enjoy
Hi Gabriel 😊❤ love Greece! 😃😎☀️🌊 adventure continues!

That Hellas ambience. Just two weeks out of Crete. Wish i was there.
There is something very surprising in Lisbos, and that is the existence of signs of hiking everydhereBut you didn't look like you used to. 😊
Congratulations on your 57th Greek Island.🎉 Looking forward to seeing more of Lemnos. ❤❤❤

Lemnos has a very good airport close to the capital with daily flights to Athens and amazing prices.
You have to try Limnos wines, red, white or Retsina. They are great! Yamas!🍷

A other great Greek Island ❤ to explore!😊👍
Lemnos could be the flattest (low hills )Greek island. It's serene beaches are top notch.

Very beautiful place
Head south to Agios Efstratios from Limnos
... Finally Limnos! You may want to visit Sotira beach. A bit hard to get there (not paved road) but it's worth it!...
Gabriel - I island hop the Greek islands often & the airlines is called Aegean Air. Flys you back to Athens then off to wherever
amazing video

blue star ferries have ferry from lemnos to lesvos chios samos . they have itinaries 2 to 3 times week until end september
I know where you got that shirt and I am buying my own now! I love her stuff
Excellent. 👍
Now that is a Greek Salad....
Once you get out of the tourist season the ferry schedule gets reduced in the Greek Islands to a number of the smaller, less populated islands.
September is still very much season, and ferry and flight schedules are still on summer schedules.
Nice one 👍😁
