    Dorothy Roberts work has been instrumental in my studies of the child removal system. I’m so grateful for her presence and contributions to the perspectives and approaches of academics and organizers alike. This interview is an excellent entry point for people, I hope it gets more views

    Dorothy Roberts's books have provided the research necessary to describe the water we swim in every day. Her words have given me the language to advocate alongside Black parents in my community. As James Baldwin so eloquently stated, "The victim who is able to articulate the situation of the victim has ceased to be a victim: he or she has become a threat."

    Ma'am, why are you spreading this propaganda and taking accountability away from abusive parents?
    I was in the system and aged out. I also know the history of Christian families who wanted to save these children.
    No, it is not perfect. But, tell the truth about the homes that are dysfunctional. Instead of demonizing the safety net for the children.
