Back before TV and the music business as it is today with all the hype...people created music mainly for the Royal Court or for church. The masses were fed the popular mediocre fare of the day. We think we have evolved...but quite the contrary. Just our gadgets have gotten more sophisticated. But as they have gotten smarter...we humans have gone the other direction. Ironic....and scary. Jake Bugg will be forgotten until he does something notable as a person. His music is refreshing today...but nothing outstanding to the point of legacy. There is a chance that mankind will turn back to a more humble mindset. But without God...the chance is nil. We know it all. We've seen it all. We have it all. What's left but to indulge in it all. No holds barred. God? Who needs restraints. We are the Gods now. Yeah...up until we annihilate ourselves. Then nothing will be remembered. All forgotten. The universe could care less about Jake Bugg, Mozart, or Snoop Dogg. Dust in the Wind.
J Robert Goldner I like Jake too and his music is a joyful addition to my life. He is earnest and true....and with heart. So many today are ego driven and self centered and all about mimicking whatever will bring them fame. The music is used as a means to an end. Instead of a creation for it's own sake. That's where JB stands apart

He doesn't care if his audience likes his music. He has a take it or leave it attitude. He's willing to lie to get what he wants.

Totally agree. Jake is still young. Maybe one day a compilation will be released. That would be a treat to everyone. I recently made the trip from the US to London for his show at Royal Albert Hall. While there I found a record store and bought everything they had that is not available in the US. Been following Jake's rise for about 2 years. I knew from the moment I heard him, he is the real deal. I had the opportunity to speak to Jake in London and for a 19 year old (at the time) he has a clear head on his shoulders. And quite funny.
