    Great video as always.. I ended up getting one of those par meters. I feel it's pretty accurate..turns out my small tent I underestimated how powerful it was...1200 average across canopy no issues but I did back it down to 1000.

      That's some solid lighting. 👌. You running co2 with that also?

    I would like to see a comparison with the FloraPro line of general hydroponics vs athena🙌🙌🙌

      I've use to use it in my hydro setup with amazing results. Not the case here haha. Really did myself in. More science than I could understand I guess haha

      I've listened to too many of their podcasts at this point all that's drilled into my head is STOP adding anything else to the program. Ever since everything has been proper. Zero Def. Zero issues.

    Man i rin a commercial grow here in ok and also use the athena proline and have been noticing the same thing! Im getting alot more yellow that burn tho, its sgowing in the meters as high ph locking out cm but im having hell getting my ph down, coco 2 gal runnoff at 6.5! Been going in at 5.6 to 5.8 for the last 4 days trying to bring it down but it just wont, and now showing signs of being hungry somehow 😕 this ones stumpin me.

    • @TriStateTrichomes
      @TriStateTrichomes  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The plant can tolerate a higher PH easier than too low. Idk if 6.5 would even be an issue. But the fact it's going in almost a whole point lower is odd. Could be a sign that it needs to stack in the substrate, since a lower runoff is usually indicative of too much salt build up (opposite problem). What's your substrate EC and have you reached out to athena directly yet?

    • @oklagrowma9186
      @oklagrowma9186 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TriStateTrichomes we have not checked soil ec, but i call for runoff test from 4 plants from each flower room before i write the feed schedule for the day per room, for instance we fed 2ec yesterday and runoff this morning was literally 390ppm! Its the craziest thing ive seen yet!were also using some new prefilled coco prefilled pots and evertime I uppot into them I notice alot of issues but until the pallet is empty I have to use it..also I have not reached out to mat yet because it seems like a small problem I didn't wanna ask for help with. Update to after work they looked alot better today ph down to 6.2 and there perkin up Also did a core foliar feed over the weekend

      @oklagrowma9186 wonder if the ph of the coco is high and wasn't buffered. Could also explain a drop in EC if it's holding onto a lot of the nutrients. Might need to stack ec in the coco a bit to help. Let me know how they keep doing if it's already starting to turn around.

      @@TriStateTrichomes that's kinda what I've been thinkin it's just not buffered for canna, seems more for veggies. And I'll start stacking and let ya know how that goes! Appreciate ya 💯

    I had a guy tell me running high CO2 at night is toxic to the plants. Is that true? Planning on getting a CO2 burner next grow!

    • @TriStateTrichomes
      @TriStateTrichomes  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well my co2 meter only turns on when the lights are on. So it naturally drops at night. But I don't check it tbh. Wont make a difference. It just simply won't use it. So why waste it during that time. If that makes sense

    • @oklagrowma9186
      @oklagrowma9186 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Could be toxic if levels are too high, plants "breath out" there oxygen at night and breath in co2 during lights on, if you watch your meter you'll see your plant actual release the excess co2 during lights off

      @oklagrowma9186 the level for toxicity to the plants is crazy high. I want to say in the tens of thousands. It would be harmful to us first. Something like 5k is where it's a concern to people. As long as there is a meter I think this would be a non issue. Not having a meter I can see this happening.

    Bro can you help.. I want to buy a 120L food grade Water storage butt because its a pain getting water.. I just want to keep the water in the container no Nutrients just water and use it as I need it. Do you think I need a water pump will that keep it fresh and if I add a heat mat underneath the container to keep it from being freezing cold would that be okay if I keep the water circulating? Thanks

    • @TriStateTrichomes
      @TriStateTrichomes  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      ifs its plain water you should be fine letting it sit. Just keep light from getting to the water and that should prevent any algae from growing

    10ec? bro wtf

    • @TriStateTrichomes
      @TriStateTrichomes  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      they recommend 8 to 10 by week 4. I believe this is partly due to the smaller container size they recommend. in a larger container i dont think this would be as required since there is a larger area of stored nutrients. but in a 1 or 2 gallon pot you have limited space for nutrients to be held. with a higher EC you ensure its available at all times in the substrate.
      i would have to ask an advisor to confirm this though.
