Amazing tool you created man, I just switched to it from XSE and Advance Map and it's such a game changer! Would you happen to know how I could duplicate the special team up battle with Steven but change it to be with your rival or Wally instead? I've had a look on your tutorial page but no one seems to mention anything like it.
@@LuckY000Y Thanks. I've looked into it since posting this comment and it's basically impossible without advanced knowledge of editing thumb code. Alternatively it's apparently much easier to do if using a decomp, but that would mean scrapping all my progress and starting from scratch. So yeah. Rock / Me / Hard Place.
@@Trinsicity true, I'm also confused right to now to whether shift to decomps or not I basically have 0 knowledge of C I also haven't done anything to hack so I can shift to decomps but I'll need to learn first
@@LuckY000Y I think if you're just trying to make minor cosmetic changes to maps, basic script/item/trainer edits HMA is amazing. Anything more complex like hardcoded game/battle mechanics or specific events are handled better by decomps from what I've seen. Depends how much progress you'll lose by switching as well. If you're more than halfway through probably better to keep going. If you've only just started it might be worth making the switch. I want 2v2 double battles to be a regular feature of my game (as well as some other advanced features) so it looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet.
@@Trinsicity I actually haven't started doing anything to my romhack, I'm just learning and planning what to do The only thing that stops me from going to decomps is CFRU made by skeli, also if you are making a FireRed rom hack then you can use CFRU+DPE, I think it makes using 2v2 battles easier
Nice video, could you do a tutorial on how to get an NPC script to move from one spot to another after an event has happened like when you first meet Blue and chat to him before meeting Oak and after meeting Oak and also active a battle sequence?
Great toturial man
No debug asserts were encountered in the production of this video.

You can ask on his discord
He is more active there

Great tutorial!❤
would be awesome if u can do more tutorials on hma👍
There's a bunch available here: github.com/haven1433/HexManiacAdvance/wiki/Tutorials
In your opinion, what type of tutorials are missing?
I think a tutorial on adding custom abilities (not just with the pixilate hma script) would be great!
@@jefto4825 Custom abilities aren't really easy to implement due to existing battle mechanics.
