I had a mechanic's lien placed on my property. We went to court and I satisfied the judgment. It's been 5 years and the contractor is refusing to release the lien. The recorder's office won't release it with the satisfaction of judgment unless it has the lien number recorded on it which it doesn't. I don't know what to do. This is in Los Angeles.
I am on Social Security Disability benefits, and I'm separated but we owned a home together and she pays the Mortgage. Hillsborough County Clerck sent me a letter after 10years after my first judgment lien. The law office representing the creditor also sent me a letter and want me to summit all kinds of proof of income. I don't own a car even.
