    In the first clip after landing, behind the narrators is an Aeronca L-3 laison plane which my father-in-law restored and had a "painter" do the shark's mouth on the nose. Due to his health at the time it was completed, he never was able to fly it but had a partner in the project that did as well as another friend. He did get to taxi it a couple times before it was deemed flight worthy. I have a number of pictures during the restoration and on display at the WWII Weekend event. He was very proud of the plane and it took him over ten years to complete it. The next project was a TG- 5 Aeronca training glider of which we did get the wings assembled.Both are owned by the MAAM. We lost Joe on June 14 nine years ago.

    I think wearing an integrated helmet in general Aviation is smart!! Don't have to be military to understand why. Great video!!
