I am about to read this (as soon as I finish Feast for Crows, so maybe in a few months...), mostly because A: yes, the Booker prize is next to only the Pulitzer in the list of books I want to know about, and B: I'm hoping it will be like Game of Thrones, only with less death and more boring. But the good kind of boring.

I recently saw a review in which the book was accused of being 'style over substance', that the characters were so flat and distant because of this. I was wondering how you would respond to this, given you loved the book? It looks interesting.
I'm currently about 10% into this book and to be totally honest, my head is already spinning and I'm kind of just wandering…aimlessly…waiting to figure out what this whole thing is about. I have a feeling that if I stick with it I'm going to like it, so this spoiler-free review was incredibly useful and reassuring. Thanks!
