Makoto rather easily got over them having their first fight ever (what a record btw), but it's weighing so heavily on Haru's mind that he felt the need to apologize despite knowing Makoto had already forgiven him for his behavior.

Even though it's been years since then, I am still and will always be in love with Makoto and how he is Haruka's solace. Like what late Takemoto Yasuhiro has described their relationship: it is an inviolable sanctuary. They besically can't live without each other (reference from a magazine, forgot what it was)
