As a huge QOTSA fan can I just say there are some fantastic interpretations of their music here. Looking forward to seeing what you do Emotion Sickness..
More QOTSA! Usually I'd move on from a cover and never worry about it again, but I've watched yours multiple times and felt the need to subscribe! Love the Qotsa and others too! Power to you Kim, thanks for the music!
Hfs! Great job, Kim! While I could and would totally hear you covers every track of qotsa s/t, how about breeze blocks by alt j, or the flame by the black keys?
@@KimLachanceMusic Lol, no worries Kim, yeah I watched a lot of your vids! I genuinely think your covers are great, and I hope more comments and likes will help you channel. If I may suggest a great TH-cam channel, in the line of QOTSA. I think he is Swedish, but he is a music producer and he breaks down how to get the "QOTSA" sound. It is very good. The link is here: th-cam.com/video/NLCg89EqErE/w-d-xo.html I hope you keep going Kim, you have a great talent, and you have definitely inspired me. I listened to all of QOTSA first album today to learn again on guitar. Have a great weekend.
WE HAVE THE SAME TAMBOURINE! Can't believe how long its taken me to notice as its not my first listen to this one. Epic cover and those harmonies are perfect :D
Hi Ria, thanks for the request! I'd never heard this song or of Code Orange, I like them. I'm always happy to discover a new rock band with a female lead. Have a nice day :)
by that I mean: the guitar isn't grooving like it could because you're speeding up without noticing in each phrase and then noticing and compensating! This reduces the relaxed flow that characterises the riff when played by Josh!
@@TheAlternatist Hey Sebastian, I agree with you I did rush. I find it a little tough to play along a click, it's super noticable when the timing is even slightly off. But I would rather sound real than perfect so I just keep the take if my voice sounded good :) I think I'll get better with this over time as I play most of my songs along a click. Thanks for your comment!
Thanks Stefan :D I encourage you to start your own project! It's so awesome to dump everything on youtube then look back at it after. And noted for mosquito song!
Exactly the type of QOTSA covers that I was looking for. A miracle, that your subs are still that low. But it is good to see, that they are getting higher and higher with every new cover!
This song cover is so good it gets me in the mood for WAR! Lieutenant ready the Knights we Crack as Dawn Breaks! But Sir, we have no war to rage. Well, find us one! Yes Sir!
You're amazing! I'm not that much into covers but your talent made me stick around. Hoping to see more QOTSA covers 🤟 Any chances of doing a cover of The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret? 🤔
excellent, your voice gives the song a different mood. May I suggest "house" by psychedelic furs as a cover. i've been revisiting the Furs and i think you'd do a killer version.
Wow! No sweetner to your voice - I mean it's got its own spot, and I feel it's nothing short of interesting, makes me not miss the original... very rare. I'm not just flattering, I truly mean it. Actually, the layers of voice ruined what the first single one was giving, I loved when it returned. Go!
Hello from Cornwall, UK! Solid QOTSA cover 😎 If you're into this sort of music, you should check out a band called Gonga. Subscribing before your channel blows up. Have a great day.
Hello back from Montreal Canada :) Thanks for the band recommendation Rejected! They're super obscure, their spotify is unavable in my country and they've got super low views on TH-cam 🤯 I love their guitar sound and riffs
Good question. I'd say it's just a lot of trying and failing for a long time. I started when I was a kid, so I didn't think about the failure part too much back then. I just tried and tried again and at some point I was able to do both. Sorry I don't have a better answer lol
I didn't really use any effects in this cover apart from post mix stuff, so making sure every track is EQed, cleaned up and some plugins for the vocals and acoustic.
