You just took hair coloring to a whole new level for me.
I had thought about coloring my hair a brownish red. Now I’ll just slide on over to a professional. Hopefully they will be as knowledgable. Thank you for showing me how much I don’t know.
And I say that with all the respect you deserve.

I wish that I had seen this video before because I relaxed my natural hair that I let grow to past my shoulders. I waited two weeks to put a permanent color on my stubborn gray hair which is 100%. I kept doing this for 2 1/2 years repeating the process and all the while my hair kept shedding getting thinner and thinner. I kept blaming my high blood pressure medication on the shedding and breakage. On new year’s eve 2022 I took some clippers and cut all of my hair off again to start over. Now I’m natural again and I used a demi product, but it has a slight ash or green outcome. You have taught me what to do from this video. Thank you for the lesson.

As a Cosmetologist since the 80's who is now Gray or Salt & Pepper, herself, I shy away from Color Theory and only followed the Index Card maintained at the Salon I first began at, which were Black, Blacker or Brown, regardless of who the receipants were.

What product helps to maintain haircolor to prevent fading after a week or so? I have used the advanced colors to cover soft and course gray on my hair. However, within a week or two, the color has faded and is back to gray. My hair isn't growing that fast. I wish it were! I'm not a professional, but I would like to know if there's something I can use to maintain haircolor a little longer than a few days! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Because my gray is definitely hereditary. The women in my family gray only around our front edges. I have very little gray in the top or back. I've been using the permanent color for close to 20 years. Before I chose to color I did speak with my stylist because I'm relaxed. Over the years I have used the same colo. I'm professionally relaxed and I do my own color usually 2-4 weeks out after a touch up. The blessing on my end is I am blessed with GREAT hair genes. I have really healthy hair that grows really fast even with a relaxer. My major complaint is I love short hair but can't afford to keep it maintained. When I watch your styles I want to cut my hair so bad. But right now I'm stuck with it.
